Thanks babyberg31 I'm glad you like them![]()
Today I have some pictures of another Dragon Rider. This guy was a bit of a challenge I set myself. While in my local GW I happened to mention that I'd painted up my last dragon in around 4 hours, well I got a few funny looks from staff as well as customers there. So I told them on my day off work I'd take in a dragon and paint it. This was the result. I started at around 12.30 and by 5.00 I'd was all done bar the basing.
Again, a great work with a minimal palette and a minimal time.
I think that being a dark elf player saved you on that one because that race have BLACK dragon
Awesome stuff with awesome sauce, as always!

Cheers guys, it's always nice to know people are actually looking on here or my blog
Onto today's slice.
Once the mainstay of Dark Elf armies Dark Riders now seem to be taking a rather backseat in my forces at the moment. 8th Ed has not been kind to our once famous cavalry. I painted these fellas when they were released soooo many years ago. Initially I only had five of them, but over time they needed to be reinforced, extra command (once they got released) added and all that
That's a really nice unit there, I've always been a fan of the dark rider models.
Good job.
cheers

tim i think that is 2 units
You're right there, there are two units
And I'm glad you're liking them.
For today here's something I did as a little experiment. Now I'm not a fan of the new Plastic Corsairs, I just feel they don't fit in with my army (I have loads of the metal ones anyways), but I was wanting to try out a unit of Handbows. I also wanted something that would fill the gap between the Corsairs and my Spearmen/Crossbowmen and so these guys came into being.
I go through fazes of liking them and not liking them. But I haven't really seen them in the whole army yet, so will have to wait and see. Will also have to wait and see how well they perform game wise.
Once again, I find myself thinking that the whole color scheme with the snow bases make your army look really nice. And pity about those Dark Riders. They are very nice models, and you've done a great job on them. Still, there's the next army book or the next ed![]()
Very nice job there Sinz. Really coming together. You seriously need to get all your rebased stuff out in the back garden and grab a group pic just to please us all![]()

Won't know about that till Friday (If my book arrives).
These were part of an army I decided to build up a couple of years back, maybe even three years. I had a week off work and had an idea to paint up an army. Daemons were around at the time, and I loved the idea of a full Khornate force. So the Challenge was set, 1500pts of Khorne Daemons in a week.
Looking great Sinz. Even better now you can use them in Storm Of Magic as well
I believe there is a spell that allows you to summon and bind a unit from any army to your cause, so imagine the fun you can have with that!

1500pts in a week! Thats sick! And they still come out looking awesome! Unless you spent 6 days on the flesh hounds and the rest of the Khorne stuff has just been dipped in a pot of red paint?Somehow I doubt though! Oh and once again I second the notion of group photo!
Ooo storm of magic! You planning on getting any of the new monsters? Surely you can fit another black dragon in? And that manticore is dying out for a conversion!
@bluewolf: Hey hey! Welcome (back?) to the world of Warhammer!

Yup it was 1500pts in a weekand I will get a group shot soon I promise, sadly I don't get much time to do what I want these days, I quite often end up sitting painting till early morning. Being out for work 10am till 10pm fills up 5 days of my week, then I work in a school 9am till 5pm on one day off, then tutor for a couple of hours on the last, this really fill my week, and means I have other things to get sorted when I do have spare time. But the school hols are coming soon
I should have a new Dragon arriving in the morning with the book, Sorceress and Chimera, going to be a happy chap tomorrow
Anyhow here's Thurday's dose of mini goodness.
To continue the Khorne theme here's two units for the main force from my one week of Chaos army, the Bloodletters and Herald.
I decided to go for a quick and classic colour scheme, the red is quite simple, but it does the job.

Well! You've seen what my banner says about them!
I ought to be getting tired of saying this but fantastic work as always Sinzaren! And that is certainly a healthy pile of miniatures there! I do have a dark elf force of my own, which I really ought to get sorted out at some point. Alas always just too busy!![]()

Well I have to say today has been a hell of a day for me. Work was just well strange with things happening that just defy explanation, and my head is now completely done in.
Today's dose of minis is the final unit from my Khorne Daemons, the Bloodcrushers. Let by its own herald this unit is heavy (in weight if nothing else).Again another pretty quick paint job on them, just to get them done withing the week, but as a whole they look pretty nice together. Or at least I'm happy with them.
You've kept the metal one? I understand why you say a heavy unit! To bad you didn't use the new plastic one, their soooo great looking, and your unit would not weight 3 pounds
Great work as always. You are really starting to tempt me to start and army of daemon, they seems to paint so easily in your hands. Again, it's a great thing that daemon have that amount of flesh/gold and not that much cloth or armour.
It look like your jugger's are not even dry on the picture! I mean, that's fast painting![]()
