Okay, so for the past 6 months or so I have been amassing a HUGE Ork Army.
(arent they supposed to be that, huge and proppa?)
Anyhow, I really love how the Orks play game wise. They are burly in game, can assault for days and are just fun to play. I don't play them the way I play my guard, I abandon concern for casualties and issues... I just plunge headlong and kill, maim and Krump.
So far my record with this army including an APOC game vs. Nids is 5-2-0.
The extent of my army is quite large, but I will be using this log here to highlight what I am working on etc. Bear in mind I have had quite the head start already.... Orks iz hard to rezist...
The extent of my army:
Ghazzgull Thraka
3 Assorted Warbosses, all AOBR, one with Konverted Kombi Skorcha.
(The Main non Thraka Warboss will be named Skumgog Gorteef... Hence the log title.)
2 Meks, both with KFF... 1 standard model, 1 konverted.
140+ Boys. Mostly AOBR, but some battleforce boys in there including at least 40 Shoota boys. Many Big Shootas, Rockits etc.
20+ Lootas plus a mek or 2
25+ Burnas plus a mek or 2
6 Meganobs
35+ Nobs
24+ Bikers
1 FW Ork Warbiker Boss
9 Killa Kanz
2 Deff Dreads
1 FW Mega Dread
5 Battlewagons, 4 with Deff Rollas 1 With FW Supa Kannon
4 Warbuggies (konverted to have rockits)
4 Trukks
2 Wartrakk Skorchas
8 Deff Kopta's, 3 with Buzzsaws
20+ Grots with Runtherd
1 Stompa_DA RUFUS...
Now painting wise I want to get this up and running as quick and decently painted as possible. So I am using non traditional techniques and I have to say I am pleased with the results. I am working towards getting a solid table top standard as quick as possible. I think its a successful technique and as I said, I am pleased with the results.

I really like the contrast between the skin colour (it is dark, but it suits my taste) and the light blue on the armour. Good choice.
