    Thank you of the comments folks, the support is appreciated more than i could articulate. Ok a small update today with a few bits and pieces in, firstly i have added a nice helmet crest, courtesy of TDA (thanks fella) and Cato Sicarius respectively. So his update is as follows:

    - - -

    Veteran Sergeant Thyrsis Pheidon
    9th Sternguard Squad, 1st Veteran Company

    A true titan of battle Thyrsis Pheidon has a reputation of being steadfast and dependable, leading the 9th Sternguard Squad with stict determination. Having earned for himself a gret many honours during the Purging of Elysia Campaign and the fleet engagements to counter Abaddon's 13th Black Crusade, Pheidon is lorded as a Chapter asset.

    Pheidon and the 9th Sternguard Squad have proven their worth time and time again, found in the thickest fighting, outnumbered but never outmatched. As has becoming common place in the Lions Argent Chapter the Sternguard Veterans of the 1st Company bear boarding shields to enhance their durability and increase their defence taking on battlefield roles where other Chapter's would use suits of Tactical Dreadnought Armour. The Lions Argent Chapter have but two dozen suits of Terminator Armour and thus they only see war in the most dire of circumstances.

    - - -

    Sterngaurd Veteran Squad Pheidon
    9th Sternguard Squad, 1st Veteran Company

    Lead by Sergeant Thyrsis Pheidon a dependable veteran with an exemplar war record. The 9th Sternguard Squad have proven their worth time and time again, found in the thickest fighting, outnumbered but never outmatched. As has becoming common place in the Lions Argent Chapter the Sternguard Veterans of the 1st Company bear boarding shields to enhance their durability and increase their defence taking on battlefield roles where other Chapter's would use suits of Tactical Dreadnought Armour. The Lions Argent Chapte have but two dozen suits of Terminator Armour and thus they only see war in the most dire of circumstances.

    Squad Pheidon earned for themselves particular renown fighting in baording actions during the counter stikes against Abaddon's Black Crusade.

    And by way of a further small update here are some photos of the armour and armourium assets completed to date;

    and the above chapter vehicles supported by a Stormraven Gunship of the Fleet, assigned to the strike cruiser 'Honoris Agora' currently assigned the 2nd Battle Company;

    Petay1985,

    What else can we say, a very well executed army that carries the theme throughout. Each Marine in individualized and you have made a story to go with each squad and hero.

    I would have been afraid to do a colour scheme with so much red, but the white highlights and insignia really stand out.

    I'd give you a 5/5 ranking but I have already done so.

    Keep it up,

    Scyllus Rubious
    1st Sergeant to 2nd Battle Company, Centurion Primus

    Stubborn and relentless in his prosecution of war Scyllus Rubious is bear of a warrior unyielding in the pursuit of his objective and the destruction of his foes. Widely considered to be the epitome of a tactical marine Rubious has proven himself a valuable asset of the Chapter and an expert in aggressive warfare.

    As first sergeant of the 2nd Battle Company Rubious has the honour of bearing the Company Standard in ceremonial duties and overseeing its care and maintenance between functions. It should be noted that the Lions Argent do not carry their standards into battle considering them to be of too greater a value to bear into the theatre of war. Thus it is that Rubious has earned for himself the honorifica Iron Halo, Crux Terminatus and the Imperial Laurels amongst a great many other commendations and honours. As is tradition for the post of 1st Sergeant, Rubious undertakes a number of logistical duties in support of the Company Captain and the operational duties of the Company as a fighting force. In addition to these duties Rubious operates as an independent force commander for minor operations in separate orchestrations to that of the Company Captain and Company Chaplain. Rubious was seconded to serve with the 2nd Battle Company at the request of Captain Dardanus Anarian, formally serving the Chapter Honour Guard and before that as a Vanguard Assault Marine with the 1st Veteran Company.

    One of the most notable benefits of being elevated to the rank of Centurion Primus is that by tradition, Rubious is granted access to wargear from the Captain’s armourium. It is not uncommon for Centurion Primus’ to be clad in artificered battle plate and wield masterly crafted weapons usually only available to those of higher authority. Rubious Himself boasts an ornately decorated artificered suit of battle plate and an Iron Halo, affording him a level of protection usually only privileged to the Chapter Masters and Captains.

    RH-0IC-01A
    MkIc Deimos Pattern Rhino Armoured Personnel Carrier | Attached to the 1st Tactical Squad, 2nd Battle Company

    The ubiquitous Rhino, the mainstay of the Adeptus Astartes force, a work horse and armoured transport of unparalleled design. Any manufactorum or mechanicus forge worth its salt, so to speak, can construct the Rhino using the masterfully crafted STC templates. The Lions Argent, like all other Chapters, utilise the Rhino across their chapter deployments and formations. Rarely seen amongst the ranks of the Astartes in the 41st Millenium, these older varients are usually reserved for command vehicles and as symbols of privelage used by Captains, in this case requisitioned by the Centurion Primus of the 1st Tactical Squad, 2nd Battle Company, this Mk1c Deimos Pattern Rhino is amongst one of the oldest variants, first issued en-masse to the Space Marine Legions of the Great Crusade, a robust and reliable varient responsible for the Rhino's well earned reputation. This pattern is armed with two turret-mounted bolters, slaved to the target-logis systems of the Rhino’s machine spirit, rather than the pintle-mounted storm bolter seen on the later MkIIc design.

    Only a Devastator Squad and Rhino to go to get to the 'half-battle company' mile stone.

    Good afternoon everyone, thank you taking the time to visit this humble project log, your support is appreciated more than you know.

    @ Rev: The Storm Talon Gunship is on my project list, i think a squadron would be nice, but with some minor amendments to the design of course!

    I am endeavouting to update this project log more regularly in the coming months with some exciting addtions, not only the aforementioned Storm Talon but a few suprises. In the mean time another update to finish off the half-battle company.

    Devastator Squad Aegidius
    10th Devastator Squad, 2nd Battle Company, Lions Argent

    Under the command of Sergeant Phaadon Aegidius the 10th Devastator squad are the anchor of the 2nd Battle Company; providing steady and reliable fire support to the tactical and assualt units. Aegidius himself has a reputation for dependability, often jesting that this results in more mundane assignments and monotomous guard duties. Although there is perhaps some truth in this, none other would be more suited to the task, a rock amongst raging sea, Aegidius and his squad have proven more times than not that any enemy can be broken with well placed fire support.
    Aegidius is often quoted with saying, "there is no problem or situation that can't be solved with correct application of heavy weapons fire!"

    Been lurking here for a while, yet now the sheer amount of great looking squads you're putting out forced me out of hiding Everything looks really good, can't wait for those army shots!

    Might I suggest a wash of badab black (or whatever the new version's called) in the deepest recesses of the army plates though? Your red is beautifully deep and highlighted but lacks some contrast I think. It's looking really good but can maybe look even better for very little effort

    Cheers,
