That's one of the best themes for tyranids I've seen. Not sold on the wavey gravy patterns on the scythes (more chaotic rather than organic), but then again it wouldn't look as good just being plain, so kudos.

Hi guys, thank you for all your comments they are all much appreciated.

Just to let you know there will be no update today, I have decided that if I am to post pictures it shall be with a proper camera that can do my models justice.
Fortunately I will be borrowing a friends camera this week and because of the extra time I'll have to paint I will be posting a extra large double update mid week!

The Hive tyrant is coming along nicely, wings are finished and I am moving onto the base.

Also a unit of warriors has been prepared and is in the early stages of painting.

My biovores arrived from Ebay today so if I have enough time I shall have them painted up too!

Breathtaking. The Zoans are my favorites, they just glow with awesomeness. This entire army has the feel of the sealife you get in the super-deep trenches in the ocean. Really dig it.

Next up shall be a all the horde stuff so a unit of warriors, 16 termagants and then 8 genestealers with a broodlord.

I will then be moving onto either a trygon or tervigon or possibly get round to painting my scythed heirodule! mmmm bio titans, nice.

Love that color scheme, especially the swirls on all the wings. Makes for some truly "alien" aliens.

Great basing too. I like the splash of warm color here and there that adds so much welcome contrast. Keep it up!
