    Grey Knights

Well finally I have decided it is time to start a grey knights army, I was originally going to do one when I found some cheap on ebay but I decided to concentrate on my Blood Ravens, bored of my Blood Ravens, wanting something that plays differently from the drop pod assault force here I am, currently I only have 5 of the old grey knights in power armour which I am in the process of trying to redo as I painted them some time ago.

    Here is my 2k list

    HQ

    Grey Knight Grand Master
    - Master Crafted Nemesis Force Halberd
    - Psychotroke grenades
    Total 200pts

    Elite

    Venerable Dreadnought
    - Assault Cannon
    - Psybolt ammunition
    - Heavy Flamer
    - Psyflame ammunition
    Total 205pts

    (10) Paladins
    - 2 Psycannon’s
    - 2 Incinerators
    - 8 Nemesis Force Halberds
    - 2 Nemesis Daemon Hammer
    Total 600pts

    Troops

(10 ) Grey Knight Strike Squad
    - 2 psycannons
    - 1 Nemesis Daemon Hammer
    - Rhino
    Total 270pts

(10 ) Grey Knight Strike Squad
    - 2 psycannons
    - 1 Nemesis Daemon Hammer
    - Rhino
    Total 270pts

    Fast Attack

    Stormraven
    - Twin-linked multimelta
    - Twin linked Plasma Cannon
    Total 205pts

    Heavy Support

    Land Raider Redeemer
    - Psybolt Ammunition
    Total 250pts

Model wise I plan on using the metal grey knights (for now) as Purifier squad, I might in time replace them with plastic grey knights, for the Grandmaster I tend to convert him from lord Draigo (I am still deciding to give him a halberd or sword), anyways here is the first guy I have been working on (not finished

Red white combination looks pretty awesome... When we add silver metal... Very good work.

    Re: Grey Knights

Well had some more bits arrive today!

    Paladins

Now I just need to get my hands on another psycannon arm, I was originally going to have these guys just with force halberds however I decided the Daemon hammer is to cool not to use

    Strike Squad

I still have another 5 to put together.

    Purifier Squad

I am thinking I might rebase these actually to fit with the rest of the army better.

I still don't have all the models I need for the army, I still need another strike squad, I plan on actually use all metal psycannons on my strikes squads (so only need one more box of grey knights), I also need another two purifiers, a stormraven, a forgeworld dreadnought and granmaster model.

Thankfully I will be able to get most of this in the next month or so!

For my granmaster I was originally think Draigo would be very cool however I have start to think that Marnus Calgar would make a excellent GM conversion. Thismeans the the arms from him will go on my blood ravens chapter master as a count as Calgar (as he has lightning claws currently).

    Re: Grey Knights

Cheers! yeah I will see if I can get some paint on those sometime this week, currently have about 3 commission projects to get done first, also trying to decide what to do with the Calgar model I traded, its either gpoing to ne a GM or a Blood Raven Chapter master conversion (gabriel angelos in terminator armour).

Have to say I do love all the bits I have collected so far, they just give you so many new options for converting! I am tempted to bitz order the back half a plastic PAGk to make a new plastic lib for my marines.

    Re: Grey Knights

Well my Draigo Trade arrived today so I decided to stick together my basic idea for a Grandmaster, not so sure on the head choice yet, I don't think I will be using teh standard head as it looks out of proportion with the other GK terminator heads (but would work very well with calgar body lol!).

He seems to be compensating for something with that hammer of his

Seriously though, I like the very clear bluish tint to the metal but with strong highlights. Gives a sort of ethereal look to them which I think fits the Grey Knights - looking very pure but with a sort of a sinister undertone. His bolter hand looks like it could maybe use a bit more black to define it or maybe it's just the pic.

The Grandmaster is also shaping up very nicely. I like the extremely dark red in the cloak and the loin cloth - very rich and complements the bright silver blue of the armour very nicely.

The rocks I think are detracting from the mini a bit with their blueness. I'd go for a warmer and greyer grey there.

    Keep up the good work!
    There (still) is no spork.

    Re: Grey Knights

    Hah theirs always one

Yeah cheer, glad you like them so far, I think with the hand its party due to the picture, but I can see what you mean so I will certainly add some black.

Again with the GM the picture has made the red look slightly different to how it is in person, I will see if I can get a better picture next update ( I think this was party due to the time I took the picture). I see what you mean with the rocks, I think Iwill try drybrushing them astro grey.

Very nice addition to your growing host. Best thing is you don't even need to paint him, he's grey already!
