    Torps vs mixed AC waves

If a torpedo marker comes in contact with a mixed AC wave (say.. 4 bombers and 4 fighters) what happens? Does the whole wave disappear or do the fighters just disappear?

Re: Torps vs mixed AC waves

Remove the torp salvo marker (regardless of size) and a single fighter marker. You end up with a mixed wave of 3 fighters and 4 bombers in your example.

Markers are removed on a 1:1 base.

Ok. and so I do not get this confused. A wave of fighters would get removed if they hit marker of torpedos, right?

I know that fighters vs AC are 1 for 1, but I thought a wave of fighters is removed vs torpedos.

Nope, if a wave of 4 fighter markers hits 1 torpedo marker (be it strength 1 or 7 or 900) then the torpedo marker is removed and 1 fighter marker is removed.
3 fighter marker stay in the game then.

Re: Torps vs mixed AC waves

Ok. Now.. if a wave of fighters and bombers contacts a torpedo marker while moving, do they get to keep moving after the appropriate markers are removed?

in example. a wave of 4 bombers and 4 fighters leaves a ship and has enough movement to intercept 2 different torpedo markers and enough to make it to a ship for a bombing run. Are they allowed to do all of these in 1 phase?

    question #2
If a wave is hit by a torp marker at the beginning of an ordinance phase, can it still move in that same phase when that player is allowed to move their ordinance?

example.. on player A's turn, he launches a torpedo marker that hits player B's flight wave and they remove the marker and 1 fighter marker. Now in the 2nd half of the ordinance phase, Player B is allowed to move his ordinance. Can Player B move the AC wave that was just contacted by Player A's torpedoes?

Re: Torps vs mixed AC waves

    1. easier if you detach a fight marker to each torpedo marker to take them out while the rest of the combined wave move on to its target.

    2. yes, since they have not moved yet, they could go on.
