I wonder if he will draw on the Battle for the Abyss. That book as of now could be ignored. Most people who talk about it say it sucks. I liked it alot but considering how it ends find it hard to see any of the threads continuing. It would be strange for a book about the battle for Calth not draw on the work done in BftA. The writers seem to want us to think that each book is important to the story and if you don't read one you will be unable to see other plot lines in books. Unless Mhotep lives.....
Well Abyss was not even referred to in Rules of Engagement, the first Age of Darkness short. Also important to keep in mind that almost all the stories in Age of Darkness have moved further in time by about 2 years after the Dropsite Massacre at Istvaan V.
Not sure if the trend is going to continue however.
But the Calth duology should be fairly interesting.

That is "supposed" to be Roboute Guilliman himself.

No, the Mucranoid gland has been around since Second Edition.
Index Astartes
Not to mention the whole sealed power armor thing. But I would expect the physiology of a Primarch to be vastly superior to that of an Astartes.Phase 16 - Mucranoid. This small organ is implanted in the lower intestine where its hormonal secretions are absorbed by the colon. These secretions initiate a modification of the sweat glands. This modification normally makes no difference to the Marine until activated by appropriate chemotherapy. As a result of this treatment, the Marine sweats an oily, naturally cleansing substance which coats the skin. This protects the Marine against extremes of temperature and even offers a slight degree of protection in vacuum. Mucranoid chemotherapy is standard procedure on long space voyages and when fighting in vacuum or near vacuum.
There's slight degree of protection from vacuum when in stasis floating through space, then there's running round punching several other marines in half without a helmet on in space.
Marines still need to breathe oxygen, and punching people with a giant fist in space will use up oxygen at a rate of knots. It's a cool picture, don't get me wrong, but it's just over the top silly.

Primarch different than Adeptus Astartes.

Rule of cool for the artwork. I don't see why so many people complain about stuff in 40k not being completely scientificly accurate? Can't we all just enjoy the fun and coolness of a great piece of art?
That artwork is fething epic!
Edit:
Even if a space marine can only survive 3 seconds after being exposed to vaccum it takes only one second to punch someone. And in this case it is also a Primarch. -_-
There could be some kind atmospheric bubble surrounding the ship.
