    The Scourged - CSM 1500pts

So decided to do an army from all the chaos bitz i'v accumulated over the years including some of the 2ed metals that have not seen the light of day in years.

Also want a CSM army that isnt the standard boring 'as competitive as you can get' CSM list, so i'v put some havocs and termies in there as well as a experiemental chosen unit

    The list (4pts over):

    Daemon Prince 185
    MoT, DB, BOT

    10 Marines 220
2x Melta, ICG, AC - PF

    Rhino 45
    combi-plasma

    10 Marines 210
2x Flamer, ICG, AC - PF

    Rhino 45
    combi-plasma

    4 Terminators 155
    3x Combi-Melta, Chainfist, Heavy Flamer

    8 Chosen 219
    2x Plasma guns, 2x Meltaguns
    ICG, Power Weapon

    Rhino 45
    combi-plasma

    2 Obilterators 150

    5 Havocs 115
    2x Missile Launchers

    5 Havocs 115
    2x Autocannons

I basically have everything except for the rhinos and obilts! not bad for scavenging bitz boxes!

    Here is a test model:

Here is the unit of chosen made:

Heads are from maxmini, had them for ages and never used them. Torsos are from the CSM vehicle sprue. Wanted to have them all running but ran out of legs heh.

Really nice models, with a crisp paint job and nice dynamic poses
    Well done

First time I saw the test model , instantly I thought about Crimson Fists, although it's a pretty nice job. Maybe some kind of details in the armour plates like lightnings or cracks could transmit a different feeling. You gotta love the chosen unit!

I really like the test model. The blue is fantastic and the contrast between the blue and red is excellent. I look forward to seeing a squad done as I think this scheme will look amazing in groups.

Nice first model and great builds on the others.
I like the idea of making an army almost entirely from unused bits and old stuff, both because it saves some money and even more so because it'll end up with a nice motley feel and probably push you to do some interesting conversions.
I look forward to seeing more of them painted up.

Yea thats the idea + just want a very vanillia CSM army, these guys have a Tzeentch flavour of course but i'm not playing to much on that.

OT: I went to Iceland last year on holiday Solun, beautiful country! was sweeeet. Brenavin is so disgusting! until you have about 6 then it has charm heh.

Bit of an update. Have finished the above havocs unit other than the bases. Forgotten how time consuming CSM are to paint in a traditional way arghh

Loved this plog the first time I creeped on it. You are an excellent painter sir, and your minis are well crafted. Off to a great start man

Cool, now they're starting to look alive. Strong punchy colors
OT: Glad you enjoyed your stay here! Can't say I'm much of a Brennivín fan myself. Old dudes drink it and it's a fun weird taste for travelers, but as for regular use .... bleeeeh!

Cheers guys, might be a while on this army take freajyin ages to paint.

when we were over there the viking larger was alright, expensive though! was quite amusing how much everything cost, but we were prepared.
