I started to build a new Ork army in january and I have posted a few models that I have finished heere on the boards already but I think it's better to just start an army topic rather then posting every unit or model in it's own topic. That's why you might have already seen some of my models. From now on every new model will just be posted in this thread.

With that said let's start by introducing my army and some of it's models.

Scrapsmacka's Moonshine boyz?? what kind of a name is that?

- Skrapsmacka is the name of my warboss. Why he got that name is a different story for another time.
- Moonshine is a homemade brew of strong liqour. I wanted yellow armour for my army and so the Bad moonz clan was a good choice but i like to come up with my own fluff and story so I created my own clan but refering to their Bad moon origin by taking part of that name and changing it. I now have a clan with yellow armour and a love for strong intoxicating alcohol. (Fungus beer or fungus liqour known as Moonshine)
- Boyz, well, Boyz will be Boyz.

So let's have a look at some models now.


First my Warboss Skrapsmacka.

He's from the Assault on Black Reach set but I slightly converted him. I added a chainsaw blade to his Powerklaw and another chainsaw blade to his gun as a bayonet.







No Warboss can do without his own personal bodyguards. I have painted up 5 Nobz to act as his retinue.

Here's the latest model that rolled of the assembly line. my first killa kan. I had a lot fun painting this model. great way to experiment with rust effects.









I also painted up some extra models like this ammorunt and objective marker. Nothing amazing here but still fun to share

The backbone of an ork army aren't the ork Boyz but the Gretchin or grotz doing all the dirty work.

i'll be honest, those backgrounds are killing your work. the paint scheme and colours are brilliant, but the photoshoping is killing them. post some on a plain white background, or a print background instead of photoshoping so we can see these in all thier glory.

Nice name for a clan Its always nice to follow the progress of an army that has a story. Im working on my own fluff for my orks.

The paint job is ace. Really is. And the small conversion on the boss is a nice touch.

Now post more fluff, a list of what we might expect to see as well as more photos

I Might as well add a picture of my 'Ard Boy prototype. I want to add a unit of 20 or so 'Ard Boyz so i tried making one as a prototype and i quite like how he turned out. let me know what you think. (Before you ask, the helmet is a german ww2 stahlhelm)

wow mate, these look great. Good photoshopping but I have to agree that it's detracting from the minis.

I used to build WW2 model kits so I have twenty of these stahlhelmets to spare. I think it will look great if I can do a whole unit like this.

You are absolutely right, it's pretty easy to pull off, a little plastic card and some rivets. the rest is all from the normal ork boys sprue and I have some Nob sprue to take some stuff off.

First I have to paint about 40 boys before I get to a whole unit of 'Ard boyz so if you want to see more you have to be patient.

This month I 'm painting 20 boyz and I have time left I will make a start on my Kommandos.
