    Question fighters/bombers

    So i am updating my tau fleet with some fighters and bombers from forge world.

    Now is the question: Will I buy up tot the max for al the Bay's(4bombers and 4fighter on a 4 bay cruiser) ore buy a ready mix of them (like 3bommers+1fighter on a 4 bay cruiser).

    And if I go for the mix what would be the best mix?

    Thanks One

    Well if you don't get 4 of the same then you'll always have to use a paper marker which somewhat defeats the point. They come in packs of 6 however so each pack allows you to make 6 markers, you'll need to buy some 20mm bases from gw to put them on I've found small nails work wonders for this.

    You could also try movement tray for warhammer fantasy and paper clip.

    I usually take 1 fighter for every turrent my target has. The rest bombers.

    If the target has a fighter on cap I will take a single bomber and attack the ship. If there are more fighters on cap hopefully the resillience will take care of them.

    But personally I really hate bomber, they are slow they are pretty useless against ship with 2 or more turrets. When a ship has 2 turrents you will have on average 1.5 attacks per bomber. From a wave of 4 bomber and 2 fighters against a ship with 2 turrent you will only have 8 attacks if you're lucky enough to throw average.

    @AsleepByDay
    You use 20mm square bases like the paper counters size?, I was thingking of 25mm round bases from 40k, I know its a little bit bigger but it looks go and the ships have round bases to. So is it a no no or is it oke in your book?

    @horizon
    I know, but they look so good 3 little fighters on a base

    To all oke I will go for the mix it is also the most pleasant for the bank

    I wouldn't mind you'd be hard pressed to gain much advantage from it and I much prefer the quickness of models over paper markers, make sure you put them together so they are quick and easy to handle
