atm i thinking maybe removing the daft looking wings , and both arms below the elbow and replacing them with lightning claws. put on a base matching the rest of my force i think i could get away with it being a convining captain.
since its resin i may go a step further and remove the head and replace it with a pre-heresy Mk one so it will tie in more with the army

This is an extremely well converted army. An inspiration. The painting could use some work perhaps, I'd recommend maybe experimenting with light drybrushing for extra highlighting. An army this fine deserves a stellar paintjob.

it has an optional heavy bolter left arm too , and both shoulder joints are megnestised to allow more weapon options ;p

The contemptor looks sweet, really like teh claw conversion on the fist and the use of a chaos shoulder integrated along with a normal one.

had no plasticard available at the time i built it , so i had to use plastic from a webcam box lol , it looks a little rough , but shouldn't be that noticable once painted . needed to add some kind of banding to break up the dark blue lol or it would just look like a loyalist dread with spikes

Really? I thought it was relatively easy, just scraped right off...bit of sandpaper to smooth it afterward and Robert is my Mother's Brother it was done.

i found it quite awkwad , especially near the tips of the wings , but oh well , at least its off

the claw is just trygon spines i think cut down to fit . at least thats what im assuming they are , just found them in my bits box

Gotta say, I'm very impressed with your army, Your painting is very good and you've personalised each of your marines greatly. Per chance are you a marvel fan? a few of your marines caught my eye, the one in the first picture resembles Nova to me, and the one with the skull painted on his mask has a Punisher essence to him. Loove it!

I am a marvel fan true , but the skull markings on the helmets is more to keep in line with Night lords fluff more than anything.
Personalisation of each marine was something i intended strongly for this army , as even more so than loyalist marines , legion suits of power armour would be cannibalized and cobbled together over the centuries to keep it in working order ;p

Nice work man I love the Night Lords they were my first pick after I finished up my old Dark Eldar then GW went and changed the codex and dropped the Legion fluff so I shelved them. Now I am trying to finish up my Death Guard then start up my new Dark Eldar but after that I dig up the ton of Night Lords stuff I hoarded and I will start them up again in a hope that the new CSM Codex brings back the Legion fluff again as rumored.
