yeah , all the raptors are all going to have mk VI helmets and skull faces , sort of the squads theme , while in other units its maybe one or two per unit
the massive chainsword is kromlech i believe , bloody massive thing it is , that guys painted now , so ill get some new pics of him up tommorow

this is my chosen / command squad , complete with techmarine and apothacary ( yes i know chaos don't technically have these , i just use them as power fist armed chosen and normal marine respectively )

Very nice. Love how your minis have this really evil feel about them. Much more menacing than the ol' spikey skullz 'n spikes. You really captured the feel of the Night Lords (one of my favorite chaos legions)

The thing with night lords is , according to the written fiction for them they're split into two schools of thought , much as Curze himself was conflicted .
On one hand you have the martial side , fighting the ' long war' against the imperium that wronged them , and on the other , you have the side that has embraced chaos in its entirety, and exists purely to kill and terrify for its own sake.
I much prefer the idea of them being a legion of murderers , taking what they can when they can , much like pirates , of course this is heavily influenced by A D-B's soul hunter series ;p
Thats why the armour of my marines is an eclectic mix of different mixes of power armour upto Mk VI ( i do plan to include a few bits of Mk VII eventually to represent replacement gear stolen for loyalist marines though )

Hell yes, the NL books from Aaron Dembski-Bowden are great. Your guys really reflect the armor and weapon scavenging bastards he described. The only thing that's missing is one of your figures wielding a golden Blood Angel sword.

You just keep the goods coming! Every time I see one of your terror masks it fills me with a certain misunderstood glee
its hard painting those on anything thats not a flat surface, thats why most of them are on Mk VI or III. thats partly why the raptors will all have them ( the Mk VI helmet looking as avian as it does )
