Nice centaurs, they certainly don't give off any chaotic vibes, which I believe is a great plus in this case!

My Skaven Painting Log. - At a crawl...
The wizard looks absolutely fantastic.
The painted centaurs look good. While I would have myself gone for darker fur, I'm surprised how good the beige works.

Those centaurs look ace painted up. Really well done how you have managed to make a chaos unit look at home in empire army
Hello Warseer,
First of all thank you for your kind comments. Second of all sorry for not having any updates recently however there are several things that are reaching completion, this is because they have to be finished for the tournament this weekend. Here is what I've been spending most of my Warhammer time on:
So if the massive banner didn't give it away he's going to be my battle standard bearer. Since the old Dogs of War had pay masters as a sort of battle standard bearer I wanted him to have a strong link to money hence the banner made out of coins. Hopefully the coins will look more coin-like when they're painted. As I say he has to be finished by Saturday so I'm going to have to paint him pretty sharpish. The wizard with the puppet is also going to be finished in the next few days.
Stay tuned for updates!
Tournament this weekend? Are you doubling @ warhammer world?
Would a banner made of coins not be horrendously heavy?
That said, looking good man.

I really like your BSB; good sculpting and the pose is quite dramatic. The banner is a cool idea and ensures you won't have any freehand painting to do. Just out of curiosity, what is the banner made of (besides green stuff)?
My project log: To Infinity and Beyond
I like the coin banner (and instantly recognised it for what it is which is I hope good news).
Coin banner.... ?
Brilliant !!
@thesheriff: Yes that's the one.
@Vinush: I thought that too but it looks cool. I was thinking about giving him a cloak made of coins but I thought that might be pushing his strength of four a bit far.
@Duke Donald: Thank you. The banner is made out of 1mm brass rod, some jewellery wire that I nicked from my girlfriend while she wasn't looking, the sun from the watchtower scenery piece and then green stuff.
@ModernKiwi and N810: Thank you very much.
Now on with the show. I've started painting the BSB and the wizard though I have also got my second unit of crossbowmen to a usable standard. Here they are:
They need eyes which I will come back to if I have time. Also I've just noticed looking at that picture that there should probably be a bolt in the champions crossbox.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll be back with more soon.
Heres a thought make a pattern on the coin banner by using different metals for the coins.![]()
Well Student I will see you there. I'll probably come and say hello. I'll have a lizardmen army painted like this one;

I'm part of the GW Worcester team.
But good luck mate.
@thesheriff: Cool. Good luck and see you there.
@N810: That's what I've done. Great minds and all that.
So here's my army ready for tomorrow displayed on my very nice coffe table.
And here's my team mate's army.
Its been a bit of a rush to get it all done. I'll post up picture of my puppeteer wizard and BSB when I have a bit more time.
Thanks for reading.
Good afternoon Warseer.
So its been a week since the competition but I've finally found time to update this. Here are pictures of the battle standard bearer and wizard that went to the event but didn't get on the log in their painted state.
First up my Shadow Wizard who for the weekend was called Speranzio il Burattinaio.
And his retainer Coraggioso.
Finally I also converted the empire powder monkey to have a bag of gold and painted him up to be the albino monkey that Coraggioso found during his travels in the Kingdoms of Ind.
The doubles tournament itself was great fun and I'd recomend them to anyone who enjoys Warhammer. We finished in 54th place out of 99 which I think is okay for our first go and we'll be getting armies painted for the next one so hopefully we will have learnt and do better.
That's all for now. Thank you for reading.
Great update! The wizard is nice. I really like the paymaster/BSB, and the converted powder monkey is excellent. That said I have mixed feelings on the green bases. It gives a nostalgic feel, which is a nice touch for DOW army. Yet, I guess the reason few people still use green bases is that it's not flattering.
My project log: To Infinity and Beyond
Thanks. I quite like the green sides to a base but then it is what I've always done and was the norm when I started painting. I think this army is going to stay with the green bases but I'll do something different with my next one.
Progress may slow done on this log for a bit while I focus on other projects. However I recently purchased some Birdmen of Catrazza because they look cool. I'll try and find time to paint them as well as getting everything else done and get pictures up once they're done.
Dahh...ahh... Im speechless, this army has really turned beautiful... *wipes a tear* maybe this is because of my undying love for the Roman military... Awesome project so far, Goodluck in the tournament kick some ass with this Tilean Mercenary Army, brilliant idea. Props (wishin i woulda thought of it myself ^_^)

Hi Student,
Your sculpting skills are out of this world! I really like the standard bearer and can`t wait till you paint up your ballista. This is some of the most original stuff I have seen in a while.
Great stuff!
