I like the daemonettes, and the tutorial was very interesting, particularly the theory bit at the end. The erotic unit filler is great, really captures the essence of them. Look forward to seeing and reading more.

Excellent work, and a very well put together tutorial. Thank you very much for taking the time to do it.![]()
Gotta love that griffon! Especially the head, it's looks very realistic, almost like a real creature!
Cheers bud, I love how they've clearly looked at real life examples to ake lots of their new monsters (arachnarok, terrorgheist etc), it makes it much easier to make them look good!
You've made my day here Dwarfboy; I could chat about painting forever!
Slaanesh always have a little time for a bit of kissing, even if they are in the middle of a battle!
No worry at all mate, if you've enjoyed it then it's been worth it!
Some fantasy updates will be coming soon guys!
Byron
I hope you don't mind but I may have to use your unit filler idea for my daemonettes? I was going to have them enticing empire soldiers, but may incorporate your thing too.

No pictures today I'm afraid guys, but I have done another tutorial, this time it's on how to sculpt scale mail, I'll be trying to improve or at least re-remember sculpting over the next couple of weeks, this is the beginning of it
How to Sculpt Scale Mail
To go with the last tutorial How to sculpt chain mail
Hey Byron, thanks for putting these tutes together. Fantastic work. A real contribution to the community!
A while ago you talked about writting up something about color theory and mini painting....... that's the one I'd like to see.![]()
The plate mail tutorial looks great and doesn't look that tough. I am going to have to try it.
Well, your Karl Franz and his griffon are a bit too bloody for my taste, but it's still an amazing paintjob!
And thanks for the tutorials.
Ancient miniatures and new stuff in my Vampire Counts Plog
Thank you for reminding me Confessor, my memory for this type of thing is terrible! If it doesn't surface in the next week please give me a prod again, I'd never get round to any of it if people like you didn't remind me, cheers
I'm glad it's going to be of help to someone, I am by no means even a half decent sculptor (I don't even have steady hands), most of the stuff I've managed to make look O.K is the result of repetition like this one, let me know how it goes and feel free to hijack this thread with a picture of it etc!
Too bloody?Does that exist? Haha, I understand completely, it's something which divides a lot of opinions, thanks ofr letting me know though, it makes sure I reign it in and don't cover the entire model when I do do it!
Plenty more tutorials coming up in the near future guys, maybe even some models as well!
Byron
This is all incredible work. I'm inspired!
Wonderful work, just taken the time to flick through the whole plog. You've really done justice to every single model.
Thanks very much guys
I've mostly been working on 40k recently, but I have squeezed in a quick Magnetising Units and Painting Bases tutorial, give them a look if you fancy.
I've done a new tutorial, painting a dreadstone blight, feel free to check it out
Here's a WiP picture from it:

Nice one Byron, I'm painting mine up next week and this tutorial is perfect. If I can get mine looking anythig like yours I will be majorly pleased!
"In a game based on the roll of a dice, sometimes the dice don't play the game"
Glad to be of help bud, if you've got any questions or queries about it don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks Eldorad, the base is 2 a4 sheets of plasticard cut to a 'random' shape, and glued together, I used a cork tile to put thebuilding on, I pressed the base onto the tile and then ripped around it to get the shape required. I used a PVA+clay+sand paste to roughly go around the edge, I only used clay because I didn't have anything better though. Personally I think something pike polyfiller would work the best for this bit.
Also lots of people use hardboard to mount their scenery on, or other cheap wood, I just used what I had to hand (plasticard is not cheap these days unfortunately!).
Byron
By the way guys if you go on any race specific forums etc where you think people may get some use out of my tutorials feel free to link them left right and centre, no need to worry about accrediting me etc, I've made them to help other people out so as long as they're doing that I'm happy
I'll have some updates for this blog fairly soon, nothing finished but some WiPs for my slowly progressing ogre army.
Byron!
I am planning to paint some muddy water on my bases for my Nurgle Knights. Do you have any tips on how to get a dirty, muddy water look? (I have water effect).
Best regards!
