There has already been a Space Wolf SMB novel and last I checked, Chris Wraight was unsure about a regular SW novel. Plus, while William King is back, he is currently working on a Macharius trilogy and Blood of Aenarion.

That doesn't mean there won't/can't be more, does it? I didn't expect him to be interested in, or intend to, write a non-Battles Space Wolf novel. Still, I'm looking forward to the Macharius series.

I couldn't see Black Library commissioning another ongoing Space Wolf series myself, they've had a popular and ongoing series for years. From a business point of view, there wouldn't seem to be much point when they could focus there authors energies towards new and hitherto unexplored areas. That said, Games Workshop in general and Black Library in particular are known to do many strange things, incomprehensible to us mere mortals.

I agree though, a Macharius series, with all it's Alexandrian homages and existing background tidbits dying to be fluffed out, sounds pretty awesome.

Thanks for the info Shadowhawk. Don't forget however sometime in 2012, not sure what month, a anthology of Horus Heresy novellas called; "The Primarchs" is being released. The anthology contains 4 novellas; Gav Thorpe is doing one on The Lion, Graham McNeil; Fulgrim, Rob Sanders Alpharius, and some one else is doing Ferrus Manus I think.

Especially excited about Eisenhorn, but does anyone think it'll be an Eisenhorn vs. Ravenor affair, as in, ending the series for good? I know it's reading a lot into the title, but could be the reason the Keeler image was abandoned? Or perhaps that'll be included as one of the 3?

I wonder if Butcher's Nails is setting the scene for ADB's World Eater novel... I can't imagine it being any other legion with that title.

Pretty sure it's World Eaters. "The Butcher's Nails" is what Angron calls the berserker implants in his skull.

I believe amazon.de already has blurbs for a lot of these novels and that is indeed what Thorn and Talon will be about.

Fair enough, the info comes form the writers themselves just so you know so it is reliable info (it was on their respective blogs). Persumably they haven't worked out a fixed release date yet hence why it is not on the website.

@Ithaka: It's entirely possible that Thorn & Talon is merely a 'rebranding' of The Keeler Image. E.g. when Dan's been writing it, his original plot might've become rapidly less appealing than another he discovered which would fit much better. But in doing so, it might need (or he might simply want) a name change!

If it is quite different, I'm very hopeful for TKI. And, from what I read, it looks like T&T is to be the prelude to the Bequin books, setting the scene, as it were.
