    Hive of the dead

"This is the first of a new range of Warhammer 40,000 gamebooks, interactive novels where you take the role of the main character and decide where they go, what they do and whether they live or die. "

Enjoy! I remember old books like these, fun as hell XD

Where is this quote from? Do you have a link?

    Nevermind. It's from here.

It sounds a lot like the old Way of the Tiger books. Which means I must buy it.

Choose you own adventure books. So stressful!

I always ended up falling into a spike pit or something in chapter 1...

5th September. It's Print on Demand, so it'll be around £13.

Best news since they republished Advanced Fighting Fantasy, I grew up on gamebooks, my first warhammer miniatures were to play out encounters for our AFF group.

I wonder if they will bring back the short lived battle books too.

The blog now has a sample...er, section of the book up. It looks like fun to me. It really reminds me of the old Lone Wolf and Way of the Tiger books that were popular in the 80's.

Lone Wolf + Fighting Fantasy + Way of the Tiger = epic win!
I still have all of mine and read them every so often...I still can't do FF's 'Deathtrap Dungeon' or 'City of Thieves', though <fail>.

Should be good, as long as the last page isn't "Marneus Calgar turns up smacks [whatever beastie] in the face and Ultramarines win (again). Yay!"

Keep an accurate map and you will solve it within 5 or 6 attempts
