After years of playing BA i finally reach my limits with the insane amounts of new BA armies at my local gaming circles that have show up since the new BA codex has come out.


So i searched for a new chapter to play, one that would pretty much guaranty the impossibility of endless red vs red matches and ' oh you play BA too' talks.

After getting and reading the Imperial armor books on the Badab conflict i found myself enamored with the Carcharodon Astra or Space sharks as they were know up to that point.

They had it all great fluff, great color scheme and some pretty awesome assault rules which i love ( and what drew me to BA many moons ago).

While i am not the best painter in the world i consider myself capable of decent table standard and without further ado present my test mini.

Thanks Lowmans, i agree the bases look terrible with the color scheme in question and need to change.

Some updates on a veteran sergeant and some more marines for the first squad, still need some work but i think they are coming along nicely.

As for basing i am trying out several different colors until i find one i like and that suits the models.

I also working on 2 strike cruisers for BFG and a conversion of the Nicor their custom Crusade era Grand Cruiser.

FW finally brought my Tyberos mini today and as i had the time i cleaned and modeled him up.

The one thing i dint like on the normal version was the helmet, so i settled for a good old head swap which i think better exemplifies why he earned the title "The red wake".

Really looking forward to painting this model.

I can't believe you used the Raven Guard captain head on Tyberios. I had the same idea. Great to see it in a photo.

I haven't been able to find the bit for the Captain head on ebay. I did get the Raven Guard sgt. head as a back up... but after seeing your conversion I think I might have to wait a bit longer to do it proper.

Ok first stage is complete, i still need to work on the base a bit and some of the details but for the most part he is ready and i am quite pleased how he came out.

Looking good mate. Maybe consider a little black ink on your shinier silver bits?

So long time no updates, but work has been done...even if it is mostly for BFG ! Below are pics of 1 of my strike cruisers and i will be posting more of the fleet shortly, i have gone for a very beaten up and dirty look as i cant imagine Space sharks ships getting a new paint-job or dry-dock very often.

I prefer the Space Marines to the spaceships but that's just the models, I think! I hope you do some more soon

Ok wanted to say this log is not dead, just had to get the money for a new camera together and i am now waiting for it to arrive. I do have some wip pics taken before the old one died out of models now completed, below are 2 members of the command squad, my chaplain and tech marine, still trying to get my hands on the FW librarian to complete my command echelon.





Should have pics of the completed models above, plus that of a dreadnought, 2 pre heresy rhinos and my battle barge by the end of the week.

Ok update time. Rather then muck about 1 model here and there i decided to shift focus on small squads. That way the army can get some much needed completed units.

With this in mind i started on a scout team, 5 snipers and 1 missile. Pictures are very WIP but give a clear indication where the models are headed, i still have no idea what i want to do to the camo cloak tho.
