Late's plog of vanilla Vampire Counts.

Just some miniatures that I've painted recently. I know I'm not the most technical painter out there and these are out-of-the-box figures. Also, the gloss varnish that I used really dulled the highlighting & drybrushing work on these and yes, I know the old school Vampire's right pupil is on his lower eyelid instead

    For what it's worth:

I recently got a good hoard of second hand\rescue miniatures: Vlad, Mannfred on Nightmare, four Wraiths and a Banshee and a Varghulf which I'm in the process of stripping. I'll post em up once they're done, and I'll stay off the gloss varnish this time!

you can put the dull coat over the gloss coat, I think, and remove the shinyness. The only problem I can think of is youll end up with a clear shell around the model or something. Good painting, especially on the characters.

Classic necromancer looks great after all this time! Good work so far.

I like the color sheme that you are using.. Alltough, i would reckomend you to wash all the bone color with devlan mud yet another time.. Makes it look a little more like they have been buried for quite some time... (As they should have??)

Alltough, overall this looks like it's going to be a nice small army of the dead..
Just finish it up with some good looking movement trails,(not the cardboad one's that your using) and you'll be sitting with a jolly nice army my friend..

Love the paint scheme on these, it's sort of retro with the bright reds and works really well - especially with the mix of older models. I like this muchly!

Bump from the grave, one uninspired Varghulf. Yes,I know that the paint scheme is almost straight out of the armies book, flame on :P

Looks great! I like your painting style. Very clean. I agree with the comment made about doing another wash on bone areas... especially on the skeletal horses which look a bit plain as is. That Varghulf looks perfect!

Old Vamp I had lying around. Bored of painting skeletons 24/7 :/

His face is a bit "chalky" I need to give him a 50/50 black/blue glaze or something.

Now with added Dark Elf flavour!

An assassin done as a colour test for my upcoming army, needs a few glazes, and I took the shot to up close and personal, oh well.

A DE Bolt Thrower, nothing special, just to show that my other army is also coming along, slow and steady wins the race I need some turf and snow for the bases tbh.
