Yes! WAAAGH-Hound titan. Salty I love you XD and I'm glad you're doing this [so I don't have to] I've been so tempted but I have nowhere to keep something that size [according to HMS Wife!].

Alas, not a Waaagh!hound Titan (that's planned for some point in the future hopefully) as building the first one took ages, was incredibly frustrating and irritated Missus Salty something rotten
I've got the body done for the Stompa pretty quickly however so I'm hoping to finish it today.

Here's a few pics of where the Stompa is at.
Naturally, it's nowhere near as cool as the Warhound, but then, what can you expect from something that was knocked together without any real plans, from scrap plasticard left over from Titan construction and the liberal application of a hot glue gun...
There's three pics - front, back and size comparison with the Warhound - and TBH, I think it's a bit on the big size. This is due to re-using a pair of legs I made for an older, egg-shaped Stompa a few years back. They look weedy and are too long really. It makes the whole thing just over 12" tall from feet to head, and I want to make those smokestacks a bit bigger and more detailed yet too... Hmm. The shoulder armour isn't attached either, it's just resting there for show.
As you can see, I'm also having to hold it upright. I stood it, and thought I must have had more Ork in me than I had first realised as it stood up nicely first time. For about three seconds anyway, when my willful desire for it to work failed me and it came crashing down in a shower of engine bits. Ho-hum. So yeah, that'll need some work or weighting maybe too.
I dunno if you can make it out in those pics, but I've also scored on a load of armour plating. The plan is to add more over the top, then rivet the whole lot, in an effort to add a bit more detail a bit more quickly.

Brilliant log Salty, don't know why it's taken me so long to have a look. The titan is epic and I am hopefully going to do it the justice it deserves when I paint it up (not sure when that will be when I have a mountain of Orcs and Gobbos screamoing at me to paint them!). I think im gonna do a cheeky plug in my next post on my blog of your log![]()

On topic, I ripped those legs off the Stompa. It looked ridiculous. Pics hopefully tomorrow, but I'm also participating in NaNoWriMo which is eating lots of time, as well as reading Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie. And I bought Elder Scrolls: Oblivion this afternoon.
So progress could be slow...

Man... to say I had intended to try and keep this log updated, and my army steadily, inexorably more and more painted, this is a tad embarassing...
Owing to all manner of real-lifey-stuff, I've not had much chance to do anything. Birthdays, work, holidays, family drama and sadly two bereavements have all conspired to keep me from getting on with things, to such an extent that I hadn't played a game since I last updated either. Happily, this was rectified the week before last, when my vanilla marines were thrashed by my mate's genestealer-heavy Tyranids.
Anywho, after a lad's weekend recently, a small group of us resolved to get into Gorkamorka. I confess, it's not something I've played before, but is something I've always fancied. After having a read through the books (and stupidly ordering the Italian language version of Digganob on eBay, Skavanob, thinking I was getting a great price...) I decided to do something else I'd always fancied - Rebel Grots!
With this in mind, yesterday whilst shopping with Missus Salty for her birthday, I picked up some Milliput Standard and a few other bits and bobs. After she went to bed last night, I got down to business, and this morning I finally finished knocking out my first Rebel Grot Cutta.
cont...

I also rustled up a Banna Waver, converted from a regular Grot with a fantasy Orc standard pinned into his bony little hand, and a Head Honcho. The Honcho was a real pain in the backside to do, not least as I was out of Greenstuff, and it turns out Standard Milliput isn't great for sculpting things like coats... Still, it turned out well enough, and in the end I was pretty pleased.
I've also knocked up a couple of fortifications in anticipation of 6th Edition (a sort of fort, and a small bunker) and a small statue, based on a fantasy Truthsayer model, and finally a couple of Mycetic Spores, for use with the aforementioned Tyranids. Both the fortifications and the spores still need finishing off, but you get the general idea.

Lastly, but by no means least(ly?), for anyone who thought I was neglected my Orks themselves, here's a little sneak peak of some Stormboyz. The smashing, terrifically funny, marvellously attractive DarthSte (remember I said that when you collate the Wastes Awards votes TEDS...) sent me a box of the new Stormboyz as part of a Secret Santa scheme. As I had a bunch of the older type as well, unbuilt and sitting around in a box, I decided to use spare bits I had to convert them to fit the theme a little better.
Hopefully, I should have more pics (particularly of da Rebel Grots) over the next few weeks, so maybe this time I'll be able to keep things up to date!
C&C welcome as always.

More updates!
I had today off work, and decided to use the free time to build a Big Lugga for the Grots to roll around in. It is, mostly, put together from plasticard and bits of sprue, although I did add a milliput banner and add a few odds and ends from my bits box, including a few bits from the trukk kit. I'm not entirely happy with how it's turned out, but it'll suffice for now. At one point, having already attacked it with a knife and a pair of clippers to change the shape, I did consider breaking the whole thing down and starting again...
A size comparison, next to the Cutta from before. They're actually pretty similarly sized, which was a mistake on my part - my Grots have 40k bases, not the old Gorkamorka ones, so the vehicles need to be a little bigger to accomodate. Unfortunately, making the Big Lugga any bigger would have meant approaching small-tank size, which was something I wanted to avoid.
The Lugga is, however, wider and taller (if you exclude the Cutta's sail), and can carry 12 Grots (may drop down if I add more crew as I'm thinking) compared to the Cutta's 8.

I also thought I'd show off a few other bits of terrain I'm thinking of using for Gorkamorka. They were originally intended for an industrial imperial style theme, but I reckon they'd fit nicely into GM. I've also detailed the bunkers/fortifications, and once I've had a tinker and tidied up my Mek's garage piece, I'll add some pics of that too.

A few more pics this evening!
Got started on painting the Cutta and Lugga. Each got a Chaos Black undercoat, followed by a very heavy Tin Bitz drybrush, and then a medium-heavy Boltgun Metal drybrush, leaving a hint of the Tin Bitz showing through. Next, I mixed Scab Red with Vallejo's version of Bestial Brown (Parasite Brown maybe? I'm not sure, but a medium dark brown) in around 75/25 parts, and dappled it onto areas I wanted to rust up. I slowly added more brown to this mix, working up in stages, then added some Golden Yellow for a brighter orange final highlight. You could probably use Blazing Orange for the same effect.
Next, I gave both models a heavy wash of Devlan Mud, before picking out the edges of a few plates and rivets with boltgun metal and Mithril Silver, before moving onto the sail/armour plating. The sail is basecoated Bleached Bone, and will be washed with more Devlan Mud (or possibly Flesh Wash ink) before being drybrushed Bleached Bone and finally Skull White. The armour plates had Scab Red dappled on, followed by a highlight of Blood Red. I'm hoping to get these finished by tomorrow afternoon, so that I can start on finishing my Grots (for whom I'll be attempting to sculpt some flat caps and different weapons).
Finally, the last pic is a little something I received in the post today while I was at work - Snots! I'll probably keep them as is (maybe swapping out some of the clubs for different knives and such, to make them a little more individual) and keep them back to pump away at the controls for the Lugga.

Loving the converted landraider. I think the joints to the roller should be more "ORKY". The rough cut pieces work very very well however and really fit the nature of Ork models well.
Impressed
Thanks Scotticus!
A few small updates tonight. The first pic shows a couple of Grots converted for a bit more individuality. As I now have a bunch of the old metal Grots, and twenty of the new plastic ones, there are quite a few who are a bit similar. With this in mind I did a couple of simple little conversions - the one on the right is obviously just a shoota with a plastic-tube barrel. The one on the left has had the barrel significantly extented with plasticard rod and tubing, and had a sight added from the Ork Boyz sprue, which together with the bandana give a sniper look to him. In practice, it'll just count as a regular slugga really, but I like the variet.
The Had Honcho is almost finished now. The jacket looks okay - I think I could do better with practice, but we'll see how the caps and hats I have planned turn out...- and the cap is coming along well enough. The hat will get a few more slightly highlights yet, and I may rust those guns up a bit.
Finally, there are a bunch of WIP pics of the Cutta and Lugga. It's hard to make out in those pictures due to crappy photography skills and lighting, but they've had a bit of red added to various plates, and a few bits of copper as well. The Cutta's sail is pretty much finished, and it's mostly now just a case of finishing the crew and adding a few more little details such as dags, checks and such. The Cutta has been named, "Shokk" - when I get around to building a second Cutta, I'm thinking of adding a pair of oars as well... "Shokk" and "Oar"...
There's also a quick pic of two of my Snots, and a shot of a few of the WIP Grots riding in the Lugga. I had hoped to have more done by tonight, but I worked this afternoon and was thrashed by my mate's Nids this evening, which put paid to that!
C&C welcome as always, and anyone with any experience of Rebel Grots in Gorkamorka, tactics and list composition advice would be appreciated!
