Scale creep on Epic models after Space Marine?

Hi there, I don't really play Epic but might be painting some Epic armies soon. For that, I did some test miniatures (which you can find here, posting #1637) and a reply I got was indicating that the models got larger after Space Marine (which I think is second edition of Epic, after Adeptus Titanicus. Sorry if I'm wrong; not too great on Epic history).

So I got intrigued and just wanted to ask you guys, who clearly are the specialists on that, about this.

Yup it is true that the models got slightly bigger over the years.

The easiest way to see it is if you compare a Chaos terminator to any of the old models.
The old ones are 'true' 6mm scale, while the newer chaos is pushing 8mm. Same with the old guardians and the new guardians.

Mixing the old and new models in formations might look a little odd, but if you keep them seperate then they will blend in nicely to an army.

Ooh, thanks for clearing that up. more or less 30% increase in size is kind of substantial. Cheers.
