Empire, Vampires Counts, Chaos and more

Hello there everyone!

Since a short time i am back on track when it comes to modelling miniatures and painting them. I have decided to make a single log where i post all my fantasy miniatures, instead of having a couple of different ones.

My goal by showing this log, is to share my works with you, to receive the criticism wich might strikes hard, but makes me grow, and/or even inspire you with your own projects. I am always in for a conversation about anything, if its warhammer, painting, modelling, lore, music etc, i'm just a pm away!

Allright, lets get started shall we? :-)

Part 1. The Royal Inquisition of the Arch Lector: The Empire



The army you are about to see in this log is an army i started 2 years ago, and its nearly finished. In the past, i never actually made up my mind what the flavour of the army will be, it started with corrupted Sylvanians, then it became non-corrupted sylvanians for a long time, and before long it were even renegade with hunters! Wasn't really content with the flavour, so i finally made up my mind, and its now The Royal Inquisition of The Arch Lector.


The Army's theme is just Faith, Determination and most of all: insanity. The darker side of the Warhammer world. Which isn't very popular in the miniature-merchandise, except for the artworks & lore. See for yourself...

We will start with the Empire state troops. in my opinion they had to look a bit ''religious'' and distinct from the original state troops, so i thought the Brettonian men-at-arms could be of a great use, since they got gowns & cloaks. Furthermore the kite shields leave great room for religious inscriptions and imagination.

Since i wasn't Really content with the look of the shields of the spearmen, i decided to remove the skulls, and replace them with inscriptions and otherworldly drawings, related to the ancient time of Sigmar.


Take a look at the shields of some of my Spearmen. they ''draw'' their painting with mud/coal, thats why i made the colours a bit vague somethimes.

The Twin-tailed comet combined with an eye-shaped rune.

This is my Bright Wizard. Wanted to give him a royal look, thats why he has alot of golden trinkets and accesoires. furthermore his cloaks look really epensive with all the flaming artworks on them

Also, i've played Warhammer online, and i noticed that the bright wizards there have flaming eyes and tattoos wich look similar to Hebrew words. i've tried to combine that style to the theme of my army.

This is my cannon & crew, they dont look very religious or something, but as regular worksmen everyone can find use of you in harsh times

Now, the Stirland huntsmen Since they are renowned as the best archers of the old world, who doesn't want them at their side? they are superb trackers and they cook the army's food.

Birdman (Huntmaster)

This is My Warrior Priest. like all my other warrior-champions, i wanted to give him/them a unique look, and thats easy with plastic chaos warriors, because they stand out and they litteraly leave great room for imagination/convertion.

Thats the man. Wanted to give him a renegade/experienced look, like the witnessed alot of great battles on his own, where he was needed.

The Militia. I have tried to give them the cliché urban-cicizen look with still a bit of crazyness in them, related to religion.

My Reavers (Greatswords). Warriors who are actually mentally and physically connected to their ancestors. they are tattood with prayers and sigils to aid them in battle.

Really inspiring army! I really like the Sigmar vs. Nagash shield and conversions. The choice to replace the shield design was a right one!

Well, another Update!

The Retinue of the Arch Lector (Empire Knights). When my army was still in the ''witch hunter'' theme, i decided i wanted to give the knights scythes, to make them stand out as ''reapers of evil''. But when i changed my army to the current theme, i thought the scythes might suit to the subject as good as they once did.

The knights look cool. I like the hoods especially the standard bearer.

Love the Warrior Priest, would love to see a pic of him in with a unit though, think he's going to look great towering over everything else

It's Update time

The Blind Zealots (flaggelants).Abnormally crazed with otherworldly signs of religion, greatly spiritual, and by sacrificing their material sight they have gained a better grip on the sight of evil. Normally the greatest rivals of the warrior-like reavers, the Zealots, covered with protective tattoos take the role of the priests of the army.
