Imperial Fists - or - My BlackReach Box

Hey.

In order to be able to make spontaneous games at home without needing a hobbyist as opponent, I decided to get the Marine-content of a BlackReach-box.
Thanks to Haywiregranade I went for yellow. So it is...


Imperial Fists 5th company. But Imperial-Fist-fans beware, it is not going to be a bright and clean version. I am aiming for a dark and shaded tone, trying battle-damage and weathering for the first time. So be gentle

I started with the arms of a Dreadnought to get a feeling for yellow, orange and brown. So far I am satisfied, although I didn't start weathering or symbols yet. I also need some more colours from Maelstrom to get to that step.

@New Cult King: I generally do both. So what you see is a combination. I can't even tell you that this or that is brush and this or that is airbrush, because it is all a mix, everything got touched by both. Ah no, one thing I can clearly say though is that the yellow basecoat is airbrush (the bright one you can see at the close-combat-weapon)

Yea, there are some, I didn't have the time to take pictures yet though. Advent doesn't make this easier (bad light outside and lots of things to do). I'll try though
