Lets get these lizards done then...

So I have a bazillion warhammer miniatures and i really need to get some work done on them.
Starting with my lizardmen army and occasionally getting some surprise visits from my chaos and the start of my empire.
Hopefully i'll be able to post regular pics with the fiance's new phone/camera/supercomputer thingy (galaxy s2 i think).
First things first though i need advice on colours. My current theme is black with blue scales and yellow markings/warpaint.

Ok. Here are some really shocking photos from my rubbish little phone, but you get the idea of the task ahead of me. These are just my lizards, and not all of them at that.
Yes i will be getting better photos in the future, i just have to get myself sorted with work/maths/physics/exercise first.

That's a very busy table you have there. Shame about the photos, though the bike in the background seems to be in sharp focus. Does the camera on your phone have a macro setting? If your phone is as cheap as mine then the answer is probably no. Anyway I look forward to the better photos.

Unfortunately, no. My camera does not have a macro setting. But my fiances does, also took some test pics with it and they look good. I will be getting some time on the weekend to paint and blog so expect updates in a couple of days.

And here are the first clear photos. Amazing how clear these are considering they were taken by a phone.

I added on the end a pic of another project of mine for my warriors of chaos army.

Those photos are much better. I'm intrigued by the minotaur and look forward to seeing it finished.

Been working on my saurus too but they aren't done yet.
    Enjoy!!

Aces, looking good so far. I like the yellow pop of color. You have a small but cohesive force.

Re: Lets get these lizards done then...

Its been a long time since an update. Turns out my new Sony tablet thing doesn't have a good camera, so these next few pics will be blurry.
But, it is still time to resurrect the thread. I have moved into my new house, have a steady job with a predictable timetable, desire to paint my miniatures and dislocated my shoulder so much the doctor said I will never play rugby again. All indications are that i will be posting regularly.
Watch out for my box of minis that has not been sorted in years, might be time.

I have some photos from a different camera (still not ideal as there is no macro setting and I cant change the exposure).
Anyway, here is the box of minis and my entertaining distractions.

Re: Lets get these lizards done then...

Some new photos. Seems to me like I'll never truely finish my Lizardmen, but I will paint everything else.
Just a collection of photos, Zombie dragon, Jungle swarm, Empire witch hunter and captain, and Skaven warp lightning cannon with start of a giant rat to pull it. The Skaven stuff is for a friend of mine, his son has just started collecting and I thought I'd add to his army.
The Zombie dragon is such a huge model. I've never really done anything like that before, struggling through it but it takes a long time. Also, I don't have an airbrush or access to a suitable spray site for undercoating so everything is entirely hand painted currently.
If anyone could give me some tips on good rotten skin formulas it would be great. I want the dragon to look like an old school d&d black dragon, but rotten.
