    Grey Knights by CC

Another blog, yes even though the WoC, UltraOrks, Dark Eldar Crons and Empire still aint finished...

This is a rather large Grey Knights Army.

I have another Land Raider, 2 Rhinos and a few more character/paladins upstairs ready to be built. So far I will leave an overview of the army, prety basic set up only real conversion are the telport dudes, I used blood angel models as I preferred the wings to litle sticks coming out of the backpack.

I also converted my own Draigo and a Librarian, still need to work on the storm shield but you get the idea...

I agree that the teleporter backpack sticks look daft. The wings are much better. Also the librian looks good. Are they branches from a driad that are now the lighning coming from his hand?

Ok, everything has been basecoated, painted silver and washed in blue/black.

I have started on the Paladin Terminators and almost finished the Apothecary.

I will be leaving all the text/heraldry and power weapons until last and complete them all at once, I will be attempting blue crystal weapons so we shall see towards the end if I can pull it off, probably not but its worth trying.

    Please leave C+C

    Thanks,

To be honest, I havnt played a 40k game in years and probably wont as I have recently moved away from my gaming group

I just liked the look of them, I guess if I do use them for a game It wont be the ideal list, but im a poor die roller anyways so it usually goes downhill lol.

As a big fan of hazard stripes was surprised and happy to see some creeping onto your work!
The kit-bashing has created something really interesting and cool and the paint job looks really smooth. looking forward to seeing more progress dude

Ok, I couldnt help myself, I started to try painting force weapons.

Not sure if it looks like a force weapon but hopefully with more practise it will get better, its easily the most time consuming thing ive had to paint as I had to try and blend the colours together on each side of the blades.

I also painted a simple heraldry design for the apothecary, just a red arc with a simple star above, wrote his name on his shoulderpad and tested a base out.

I originally was going to complete the bases with snow like my WOC army but I found some bits lying around and opted for a desert base with a few crystals and shubbery. I didnt paint the sand as every time ive attempted it in the past my wife complains that it doesnt look real enough, this time she cannot say anything!

C+C please so I know where I need to improve

By the Emperor! Those Nemesis blades are beautiful! I'd say that they're well worth the effort.

I'm not sold on the crystals though. To me, they just look out of place on the base, but, otherwise, I have nothing else but good things to say.
