Nice paint scheme, shame about the miscasts i hate when that happens and trying to rectify the problem with greenstuff. Looking forward to further progress here as i am going to add a chaos dwarf contingent to my chaos horde

Your painting leaves a lot to be desired.. try using an undercoat before even thinking about adding any colour. This will help massively.
    Now working on: Beastmen.

    thanks.

the under coat is halfords grey primer.

if you have not noticed, i am painting on resin, if i just added paint to resin it would flake of and whats the point of that, resin is nothing like plastic if i was painting right to plastic or metal.

    bit more work

next is to darken the bone areas, and try and make them not so flat. then its work on the snout area, and think what i am going to do with the wings, leave red or go for black.....

You may want to look and think before you critique someone's work.

It can be easily seen that he is using a grey primer, Halfords it seems, as Daemon told us.

And I know for a fact he is using Miniature mentor tutorials as a guide.

Great work there Garry nice to see my advice is working.

Woah! That guy looks very snug on the Taurus. Can't wait to see it finished. Do you have any designs on the Lammasu? I love that model.

Good stuff Garry. and a good start on the painting, must say that I actually find that Grey primer forces you to be more careful your painting (it looks very obvious if you miss a bit which you can sometimes get away with if using black) Keep it up fella!

Have you noticed how some peoples chosen name just seems to suit somehow.

Back on topic and enough shenanigans!

Garry, Old chap when can we hope to see more rank and file CD's? I know how you flit this way and that, but I find myself very much liking the chaos hairy short arses!

    right the red.
    grey undercoat
dark flesh 50/50 water 4 layer
dark flesh 70/30 water 2-3 layers
    dark flesh 90/10 water 1 -2 layers

    shading
dark flesh + ultra marine blue 35/45/20 water as many layers as needed for the shadow.

same mix as above but more ultra blue for final tint.

dark flest + red gore 60/25/15 water 4-6 layers
dark flesh + blood red 45/45/10 water 2-3 layers
blood red 65/35 water, very watery but enough to grip to the model. and just keep doing in layers till you have what you like.

and whats left to undercoat and paint (you can see whats been undercoated and whats not)
