faq 2010 and tournaments

I have to ask: which documents are valid in official tournaments?
I would say: -Blue book
-Armada
-everything published by gw on bfg's page

and...?

Which is the most important official BFG competition?


(I want to know if faq 2007 or 2010 are considered or not)

Adepticon uses the 2010 FAQ which replaces the 2007 FAQ. The 2010 FAQ isn't fully approved by GW yet. It's under review pending upload which can take awhile so check with your tournament organizer to make sure.

Last year Adepticon used the (not-finished!) FAQ2010.

If I understand well, GW doesn't handle the issue of organizing a big tournament, so AdeptiCon takes place thanks to dedicated fans?

Yup, BFG is fan driven.
Tournaments, Warp Rift, GothiComp, better Eldar rules (lol), even FAQ2010/compendium was made in collaboration with the fans.

Yep. As a note, planning for the BFG tournament for next year's adepticon which is April 19-22 is beginning. As a note. All fleets will need 5 transport models for their fleet for one of the scenarios.

keep in mind that the official GW transport model is no more for sale. FW can be expensive(?) for some. So not everyone will be able to get those models.

Unless you allow kitbashed vessels, which I am sure you will.

Harvester Engines like the Abbatior and Aeonic Orb have to travel somehow... they can't use the transit portals like Warriors, and don't have the ability to teleport like Monoliths.
