Gatling Punisher cannons? Sounds like serious overkill!

There is no such thing as overkill, merely sufficient application of firepower.

I've just finished my first serious attempt at freehand work on the top of a Rhino. It's finished, at least until the morning when I see it with sober eyes!

Well here it is, let me know what you think

The Rhino itself is nowhere near finished, but I am quite happy with how the top hatch has turned out. I think I am going to try and get some freehand on all my Sisters vehicles.

    Comments and criticism welcome.

EDIT: Apologies for the blurry pictures, the only camera I have with me is on my iPad.

Looks good, (looks like a nice bottle too!) Great shapes but a little off centre, is that deliberate?
Love the gold armour btw it is just right.

Well no actually lol. I used some masking tape to mark off the one before painting it. While the tape was on I couldn't see th shapes underneath so when I painted it it was slightly off centre. Will be doing some more painting tomorrow hopefully so I'll try to patch it up and also work on blending the blazing orange into the blood red into the red gore.

Sadly this isn't an update lol.

As for the gold armour it's actually taken a lot of experimentation to get right but I really like how it looks now. Not sure if I will be able to replicate it with GWs new line of paint though...

Another small update here. I spent about 20 minutes painting and about 2 hours figuring out how to upload pictures from my iPad to my website... Figured it out (and spent £1.49 to do it) so here is a picture of my Rhino. Yay, moar freehand!

More to come, but unfortunately I seem to only paint when I drink... So painting might go downhill somewhat as the night goes on!

Hey still, liking the freehand on top of the rhino. Just a suggestion for the design on the side though: try finding a stencil of your desired design and printing it on paper, then cutting out the image with a (sharp!) scalpel, taping it to your tank and spraying the white onto it. You'll get a much cleaner base design which you can clean up with your brush later on. It sounds like a bit of effort, but trust me it makes the whole process neater and quicker. Make sure you use a modelling tape though, normal stickytape can lift your paint off the model.
