Thanks for the review of the WF Samurai. Now that I've read your review, I am considering trying a box or three. (can't beat the price). The minies/photos turned out well.

I have a fair number 400-500 of other WF 28mm goodies, foot and mounted...chariots too. Several of their later minies are up to front (command) rank, detailing wise.

I am a VERY big fan of plastic 28mm historical minies (same reasons as yours too). Well...I am lazy, as one more reason. I just do basic painting and minor converting...Takes me about 3 weeks to do a box of WF minies.

I think that until there's a competitor making other samurai plastic kits, I'll keep working on these kits. As you say, it's not like they're breaking my the bank. Building and painting a box takes about a month for me, and the cost of one box/month is like three beers/month at a pub here. I'd be happy to see what you could get out of the box, and I really recommend someone putting a box together for the first time to check online for assembled examples - to find the poses that works, as well as the worst traps to avoid.

However, I have still to try out the foot samurai box, and that's the one that I have the biggest doubt about before seeing it in person, as there are pictures of some pretty bad units built by that box.

Based on my memories of photos of your minies in the past....IMHO, your WF Samurai minies should look good.

THAT said....some of my first boxes of WF minies, I did not pose very well when I glued them together. Those minies are placed in the back of units when they get used.
