Terrain for our new gaming club Sanctuary

Since me and some of my fellow local hobbyists are opening up a gaming club, I decided it needed a place to feature all the nice terrain we will produce for the club. We are in possession of some old terrain that some of the danish warseers will probably recognize from the old fanatic tournament days and from the now dead come quest tournament as these items are owned by my good friend Tarr who's the former owner of the now closed battle bunker, which was a gw retailer in Viborg where I live, and the store handled the come quest tournament and a terrain rental service.

Now on to the good stuff, as I will probably not be doing all of the terrain each post will have a maker of the featured terrain credited.

This first set is by me, the damned artificer:

The set is the crashed aquila from GW, converted with some forgeworld parts and GW parts to represent a downed imperial fists personal transport. This represents a few hours of modeling time and about 5 hours of painting and was all executed in a single day (a Sunday that is) and is almost done, some detailing and a bit of drybrushing is still needed and some patches of dead grass. Enjoy!

    C&C is much appreciated, thanks.

You are a really good painter!! Good luck with the new club. New clubs are always exciting, and it's a great idea to have some scenery ready for it!

    Thanks dude

Here's the finished aquila set and my new crashed drop pod, the flash is for capturing the detail at 3am, and the earth isn't that bright irl.

Oh man, that Drop Pod is some expensive piece of scenery man... But it looks really nice!! You should get one of those crater sets to accompany it. They would work nicely with this.

Yeah, the drop pod is my own so this particular piece will probably only be on loan to the club. And craters is a really great idea! I'll probably make some myself though rather than buy some. But thanks, funny I never thought of that as an option at all :P

Any other ideas for terrain are welcome (from any one) as you can't have enough inspiration

One thing you could do to improve the crash is to add a touch more to the disaster part.

The Space Marine casualty set could pull that off rather well.

Yeah I thought about that, so I might just add some burned out IF's that can be littered around

I build some custom tiles for a city table I'm working on for my gaming club. they will be reproduced with alchemy to make more of them for some unique 40k buildings for the table. The table have already consumed an enormous amount of cities of death plastics in the 4 large structures I've built so far, and these tiles will provide some much needed variety to the look of the remaining buildings to be made.

The first two have been made to match the size of two of the CoD tiles in size for faster building of large structures.

This tile is the same size as a normal CoD tile.

And lastly the masters for a chair and a table to be littered around the ruins and placed inside buildings for detail.

It's all on a WIP stage and further details will be added before they're done

    Comments and criticism are welcome.

Lovely as usual, great use of the ab!

Love the chairs and table also, a level of detail thats usually missing from most 40k scenery.

The custom CoD walls are just brilliant, I can't wait to see how you will manage to cast them (I't not easy to have also the back details -if they will have some- and have a not-arquated wall, you need very thick silicon molds and some patience to extract the casts)
