New Warriors of Chaos Painting Log

Hey Guys Ive been collecting my Warriors for a month or so now and a High Elf force before that so its not really a new army, I just thought it might be nice to show it to people. Just a quick note before I post pictures, I'm not a very good painter and I don't really convert models so its not got any cool conversions or anything just the models the boxes come with, but I thought it might be nice to show you it.

So, without further ado I present to the community of Warseer: The Warband of Askar the Blood Disciple (Cue the thunder and lightning)


This is my Chaos Lord, nothing special finecast Khorne Lord, Metal is Chainmail, Brass is Tin Bitz mixed with Dwarf Bronze and washed with Grypphone Sepia, red is Mechrite red followed by Blood red and white is bleached bone then Skull white

Here is my Level 2 Tzeentch Sorcerer, again nothing special

So that's it for now, Im currently working on the first part of a 40 man Marauder Horde with GWs, Ill put the pics up soon, you must be getting sick of me by now so I'll leave it here, enjoy Guys!

Nice! There can never be too many pics of Warriors around, I love the darn things. Looking nice and evil so far, I particularly like the Khorne Lord, he looks badass. One thing, have you tried using more washes? Badab Black washed all over those Chaos Knights would add an extra level of shading, and Devlan Mud and Asurmen Blue on your Lord and Wizard respectively would also look good. Keep up the good work .

Thanx man I appreciate it, the only wash Ive tried so far is Grypphone Sepia but I might get the Badab Black and the other 2, Just a question, where do i put devlan mud? All over or just on the cloak?

Hmmm. I'd put it all over because I'm a Wash whore , but I think Cloak and deep recesses of the armour (armpits, where it meets the belt etc etc) would work nicely.

So I promised pictures of the Marauders Im currently working on, I started painting them in 2 sets of 8 so I don't have to do so much at once (Im lazy like that)

Here are the first 8 Marauders after the Weapons and Flesh have been done: Boltgun Metal and Tallarn Flesh respectively, nice and simple




P.S: I am not very good with paints so as you may see I have the beards as well as the face painted tallarn flesh, I will paint the beards later

P.S 2: They are armed with great weapons because I did not know when I first built them, how to make great weapons properly, but now I owe it to someone (can't remember) who made me realise you cut the flails off the handles and glue on Axe Heads

Well, so far its only Tzeentch or Khorne but soon I may add other marks to new units. Thanks for the feedback though and future progress will be soon, am in the process of converting the flails on my Marauders to great weapons, more pictures soon

Here are the first 8 marauders, painted, based and snowed. Thought I'd add a little snow on the top of the banner, and you probably won't be able to see, the shoulders of the musician and the cloak of the Chieftain

P.S. sorry about the slow rate of uploading, just started year 10 and have had a lot of work to do. Hopefully will have more pictures to bring to you
