    Historical models, interesting paint jobs

    Hello everyone.

I have been painting mini's from the Perry's and Victrix for awhile now, and although i have been adapting them for science fiction mass battle games (rebasing them. the models themselves have little conversion) I thought I'd post here.

I originally started a blog in the science fiction blogs forum, but never got any posts. Hence, I thought I'd come around here to see if you Gents were more "friendly".

The army is based around a scenario where napoleonic europe has been flipped upside down, and some uniforms from the future (think zouaves) have been thrown in. essentialy Albia (Great Britan) is the rising "bad guy" who has pretty much occupied and indentured france [called Parisia] (just as the french attempted in spain) and is now dealing with Parisian resistance fighters while fighting a one front war against the combined monarchs of the rest of the contient (Novgoros, Pranas-dam, Selik'jaha, and liberas {USA})

This is when the mysterious "brotherhood" comes in, and for a tithe of men refits the Albian weaponry to be lazer weapons and thier ships to be steel hulled. Shortly after conquering the rest of the planet the brotherhood is given "Endurna" (rome, oldest city on the planet) as thier own. My army is basically the "tithed" forces.

    Now onto some pictures

These would be used as imperial guard in 40k and rebels in warpath. However, as of now, these are simply me painting models I think are cool and interesting.

As it happens to be, I have made progress! all 5 "zouaves" of my first half squad painted up and marching to camp:

The next bit includes the first half of another "british" squad along with an interesting side project.

My local club, which I just found the other day, only plays FoW. As such, I've had to purchase some FoW to game with - my personal choice being german infantry - and as I don't plan on expanding the force any time soon due to monetary concerns, the log will play host to my mini FoW log.

FoW first update will be tommorow, so you won't have to wait long.

The "scenario" is not a game scenario, merely the background for my force and how I am explaining all the different mini's under one banner.

Also ordered some WGF persians to convert into ottoman's.

Its ok mate, any language is easy to misinterpret on the web.

Anyway, the Beginnings of the 7th sturmwolfe regiment are here at last. I'm currently building the command base and the snipers ( I heard they suck, but I'll take them for the cool factor)

Ahhh can't wait! Making me want to buy soviets.... so... hard to resist! And no worries about coolness factor. I personally believe that is the best factor with any army! Is that basing already on the models base?

And here we go again. Update on the FoW stuff i built last night:

I hope you can see it, but the camo cloaks on the snipers are a mauve brown made by mixing the baseing color with chaos black.

ok all a slurry of shots to show you this fine thursday. First we have my paint test of the selik'jaha infantry with his veritas companions. Then we have him by himself, and finally more FoW have been built!

As it is a paint test model, comments and crit most welcome on the selik'jaha infantry.

Picture of a new use i have found for the persian models, using them in my KoW evil/neutral alliance as men. The mistakes seen in this picture have since been corrected.
