Thats a spooky wrath, I imagine, in my head, like a green glow coming from his chest area. What do you think?

Amazing work for the vampire conversion and for the paint job.
The blue color sheme is simply but very cool. It contrast with the common red or black color for the Vampire Counts.
Cheers!
Love that wraith- nice nod to Pratchett.
My random painting log- 3/3/2013 now painting winter VC- black knights.

Excellent log; I like in particular the necromancer and the wraith. I sympathise with your compulsion to convert minis. However, I can assure you that the work on these minis was worth it.
My project log: To Infinity and Beyond
Hi gang!
As we get further into the festive season, naturally our thoughts turn to the living dead...I've finished my second regiment of skeleton warriors - time for an army shot!
Admittedly, it's the minimum size for an army (the skeleton crew, if you will...I'm sorry) - list is below:
Basic army list (615 pts):
Vampire = 195 pts
(Avatar of Death, Infinite Hatred, The Flayed Hauberk, Gem of Blood)
Necromancer = 110 pts
(Extra spell, Staff of Damnation)
Cairn Wraith = 60 pts
10 x Skeleton Warriors (full command, Standard of Hellish Vigour) = 125 pts
10 x Skeleton Warriors (full command, spears, Standard of Everlasting Death) = 125 pts
I've currently got some Marines and Necrons yelling for my attention, but next up for the low calorie soldiers will be another wraith + a banshee, and I'll kitbash some black knights (I'd better start that before the alleged new plastic kit comes out and saps my willpower). Thanks for the encouragement guys, hopefully I'll have some nice conversions for your enjoyment in the new year. Happy holidays Warseers!
P.S. @mdiscala: glowing from inside the cape? Damn, that's a good idea...ah well, too late now - I'll have to settle for glowing eyes![]()

Oh I've just got to get an army painted as soon as possible! Those look great pieced together, so nice that you made progress despite other projects eating up your painting time!
Cheers,

How about checking out this random cavalcade?
I'm crazy and I'm Finnish. Don't blame me, it's the polar bears!
Great looking army. You should look into embedding the pictures into the log, though, so you don't have to click on the thumbnails.
edit: You can always go back and do the glow if you think its a good enough idea.

very very nice!
screw those marines and crons, keep up with the deadies![]()
Hey Warseers! The deadies have some competition while I await more skeleton parts. I've dug out my old Empire sprues, and I'm working on a knightly champion for the local GW's monthly painting competition. I'll probably throw my Empire updates into this plog as well, but I'll get back to the skellies soon enough.
In the meantime, here are a few pics of my WIP knightly order (The Hammers of Sigmar - I've no idea what the colour scheme should be, so if anybody could give me any hints, that'd be grand). Giant hammers and puffy sleeves away!
P.S. If anybody has any of the grim reaper banners from the Empire General sprue for sale or trade, please PM me...

I like where this is going. Great stuff!
And I don't know how I never saw your Undead before, but they just blew my mind.
My Empire, Nurgle Chaos Warriors and High Elves, all in one place.
Looking great! I was also planning to do a bearded Necromancer, but I wasn't sure how it would look. But after seeing your Necromancer, I'm going with the beard! Great work!

Great job with everything!
Fantastic job on those KO horses! Anyone who can make me look at an old model I'd long ago dismissed as 'terrible' and think 'wow, I wish I could do that!' is an ace in my book!

Hello gang! Thanks for all the compliments, it's all encouraging stuff.
@Vaiuri: Yeah, the old knight models really need an upgrade...maybe GW are saving that for the next edition of the army book. The horses don't bug me as much as the knights themselves (and the KotWW - aaargh)...I won't be doing all the horses to look like the champ's, it's just too much work (and I'm too lazy).
Right, it's the day of GW Cambridge's local painting comp, so I've just left my Knightly Champion (provisionally named Captain Hammerstein...or McHammer) there for judging. I was up till some ungodly hour finishing the model, so here are the fruits of my endeavours (dammit, bits of dust in the photos. Ah well):
I've got loads of other projects distracting me at the moment (and..er...work, life and stuff), but I'll be making up a unit of 5 of these knights and some militia to start with. I'll try to keep supplying the deadies with reinforcements as well, for all you necromantic fans of this plog
Happy hobbying Warseers!

Nice Undead, but they pale when compared to McHammer.
@Karak Norn Clansman: I think you're right there - in the Warhammer Fantasy mythos, there has not been a necromancer powerful enough to raise a suitably impressive moustache back to life...
Incidently, McHammer won the competition! Admittedly, there were four competitions on today, but it's still a victory. I'll try to get his unit of knights made up within the next month or two. Right, back to work![]()

Hello all,
I've made a bit of progress with my Empire, so I thought I'd share it with my fellow Warseers. I've finished two of my custom knights, and the two command figures are almost done as well (still working on their special hammers). I'm pretty chuffed with them, they have a nice balance between traditional Empire finery and professional seriousness.
I still haven't picked a final colour scheme for my Empire army, but the knights can justify a different look. After these, I'll work on a rag-tag militia to double as a Mordheim warband (haven't decided between Witch Hunters and Mercenaries yet). I might help a friend at the local GW to sculpt some Araby nomads as well, so if anybody can point me in the direction of some resources for that, I'd be grateful - I'm aware of the old DoW desert dogs, shame they don't make them any more.
Happy hobbying![]()

W-O-W!
I am not sure how I have missed your thread thus far, but your stuff is superb! The sculpting and kitbashing of the knights is just totally amazing! I wish my knights would look even half as good one day..
Keep up with your great work! I'll be following this for sure!
