    Garr's Vampire Counts

It's about time I got my Vamps on here too. I'm close to finishing the army off, and this might be the motivation required to push me through to the end.

The painting of most of this is not the standard of my other armies, but I can boast around 7K of painted models, which is quite a feat in anyone's book I think.

First up, (and most recently painted) the Mordheim female vamp...

Nah, only 80 Zoomers. The bulk is actually Skelies!

You don't call me Drybrush Dave for nothing, remember!

The Mordheim Vamp looks a LOT better than the regular Warhammer female vamp.

I'll gradually get them on here. I don't want to spam it on, so I'll put it on during September.

Next up are the individual characters. All photographed. Going live on here as soon as I get my hands on the pc adaptor, which is probably tomorrow.

Actually, I just realised, my avatar is one of them!

Army shot! It'll take an hour to get it all out, but it'll be worth it!

p.s. really like the vamp, the mobile phone pic you sent me was truly rubbish!

    Re: Garr's Vampire Counts

I found myself deliberately painting like that at the time. I wanted tanned boobs and legs (and who doesn't like that in a girl, really?), but the rest of the time I was trying to go for the look of a Burlesque Hostess.

As for more photos. I was all ready to get them on here today, then the memory card in the camera went screwy. Will get the characters on here tomorrow. I'll do the army shot once I've finised off the last 3 units; Fell Bats, Corpse Cart, and Blood Knight.

don't forget you've got a little pile of reinforcements coming in the near future that need painting

also your record with things technological is rather worrying, remind me not to let you near any of my gadgets/pc's etc!!

    Re: Garr's Vampire Counts

What really bugged me was that we lost all the pictures from the run over the weekend, and half from the bike! And of course the finish. In my defence, I just found out the camera memory card was dodgey before I touched it.

Ok, starting with the oldest models, and working to the newest... my vamps...

Very old necromancer, used as Necrarch Vamp.

Old style vamp, used as Von Carstein (though I appreciate these blood lines are a bit redundant now)...

A good old Von Carstein, and a familiar I think hw fits nicely with. With that massive metal cloak, it's about the only thing I can fit beside him!

Now my painting gets a bit better as we come to the more recent models. A Blood Dragon on foot...

A Strigoi. (I also have a rather cool (if I do say so myself) conversion of one of these with wings currently under the brush).
