Thread: Dark Eldar: Eventide Estates

    Re: Dark Eldar: Eventide Estates

@ Eldargal and Pazuzu, that certainly is a compliment, though I'd have to disappoint both of you as I neither have the time nor the skills to cast them. This btw is my first model entirely made from greenstuff (and procreate, wire and some glue). So it isn't that difficult, having good reference material really helps. As opposed to drawing you don't have to bother with foreshortening and all that stuff, just sculpt what you see and change things based on your idea's.

@ Succurso, thanks, if my next experiment isn't working I'm certainly going to try thinner sheets.

@Morthai, Go ahead, If I was afraid of other people copying my work I wouldn't be posting it here. Just don't forget me in your speech if you happen to win a golden daemon with it.

@ Mega Nutz and maze ironheart, thanks guys!

Funniest/coolest line I've read on Warseer! And a pretty good description of the plogs above.

Your quote about good reference material made me chuckle. Very true, and the mind wonders the kinds of reference material you'd need on a pose like that! The sculpt looks mighty fine mate, and your painting is quite sublime! Beautiful colours indeed. Looking forward to more!

Simply amazing. I'm about to start crying, those models can't really be that beautiful.

I feel like the Archon is like "As you can see a lot of pastels (clothes colors), yah, I went to boarding school."

You need to make an Archon in a pinnie and athletic shorts with midcalve socks, a backwards snapback hat, and sunglasses with a gruesome looking Halberd he lovingly refers to as his "morning spoon."

@ easternheretic, welcome, I'm not the fastest but there's certainly going to be more.

@ nuklearangel, the reference material on that sculpt is fine indeed .
It's a good compensation for the time I needed reference material on bulging muscles.

    @ TrueKin, there there.

@ Col. Tartleton, and add a retinue, dressed in white, black boots, bowler hats and walking sticks.

@ RunepriestRidcully, Resisting urges is overrated, give in to your dark desires.

So Time for a great update, the incubi are finally finished!
They turned out more or less as intended, they look sufficiently badass and I'm especially happy with their klaives.

Btw, Thanks Loki, and razormasticator, what do you think about the finish?

Those look brilliant. Their dark pearllike armor is really sinister and the claives have a pretty ghostly feel. Overall a very nice combination of colours as well as clean painting!
