Those Incubi have a real baroque feel with these colours, their armours look very ancient and rare. Stunning work.
Wow. I have always thought I was a decent painter. I do allot of commish work and I have won a few painting challenges. But your stuff is super amazing I would really really like to learn how you do what you do?Btw, Thanks Loki, and razormasticator, what do you think about the finish?
Nice stuff really inspiring. I wish my DE were as good as that. Good work!

Thanks everyone, these great comments really help to keep me motivated even though progress is soo slow.
@Loki, I already made a list of all colours used (I think its on the first page somewhere) the rest is simply a matter of blending/layering, there are a lot of tutorials online, those two should help you along. Maybe I make a tutorial sometime, but don't expect one this year.
Now a bit of progress on the medusae (yes the actual medusae has finally been added).
That thing is really tiny so its hard to get the detail right, but slowly its moving in a satisfactory direction.
That Medusae is looking great so far, can't wait to see the finished result

My, freaking, word; astounding!
The Medusae-beast is built/modelled, yeah? Stunning skills!
As for the Incubi, their armour and wargear is shimmering...and light-absorbing...and pearlescent...and energised...and other-wordly...and antique...and suitably frightening...and words fail me. <collapses in awe>

Nice model really, the pose and the alien. Better than the GW model

That medusae is shaping up very nicely. Looking good!
Superb work on the incubi. The glow effect is splendid and they look very menacing. I should now better but when you have posted first wip picture I just thought 'meh'. Now I take it back
Medusae looks very good so far. Very promising model. I think that's just the right amount of tentacles on the model. Itching to see more.
Man that Medusa is cool.....
I simply love you color schemes, the turquoise against the purple/red looks so good everytime!
The armour on your models actually looks like that colour shifting paint you see on cars sometimes.
Dude! I knew you were working on them, but this exceeds every expectation I had!
Totally loving the schemes and the lighting of those Incubi blades!
The problem with glowing objects on models is that more often than not, the light emenated from the object onto the model looks like a gross splash of whatnot. You managed to make it perfectly natural and logical for the light to actually come from the blades! Kudo's!
Also glad to see you went all out on some colours. That's what I was missing up till now. You paint brilliantly, but often too subtle for anyone to notice until you actually pick up the model. These will probably look stunning on the table, seen from a distance AND it will pay off to pick them up and admire the detail from up close!
Huge fan!
Very funny Scotty... Now beam down my clothes.

Hey everyone, Its been a while since my last update, December is such a buzzy month. I'm mostly working on VC's at this moment so hopefully I have some of those projects done before the new release. This doesn't mean I'm not working on DE though.
@ JackDaw, I'll have to keep you in the dark a bit longer, as I wasn't really happy with the head, a bit more about that below.
@ andyg2006, indeed so far the model is fully sculpted by me (though I am going to cheat a bit on the face). Great you like it, but don't forget to keep breathing.
@ everyone else, good to see I'm not the only one that likes the colour scheme. Though this results in a small problem, I'm afraid I put the bar a bit high with my DE, now I'm trying to come up with a scheme for my Craftworld Eldar that I hope will be just as good.
I made some progress on the medusa. For one I removed the silly tail and added something better, changed the head of the medusa a bit and sculpted the hair covering the face of the host. This last part didn't had the desired result, it might look good on a photo, on a miniature (with my skills) it looked to much like Cousin itt or a Headbanger. Sso back to the drawing board.
Work on the razorwing has started, I intent to magnetize all weapons, but ran out of magnets and my local store doesn't stock the right size any more. :/
Here the work so far:
Cyl
The hair of course is very hard to sculpt, more in that pose. The parasite looks really weird and xenos, I´m sure H.R. Giger would like it

How about just making her bald? Maybe the parasite has implants sticking into her head or something
Are you in Tokyo? If so, PM me. I'm looking for more gamers!

@ Gonfrask, yea the hair is tough even with a thin layer of procreate beneath the green stuff to support it, It doesn't really look like the thin curtain of hair I aimed at, but hey time for plan B. Its always good to be compared (a bit) with one of ones favourite artists.
@ Dayspringer thanks for the input and it would indeed be the easier solution, there is just one problem, I like long hair a lot better than bald or even short hair.So I'll continue this struggle a bit longer.

This thread is really impressive, I know it takes a long time to produce such quality, explaining why there aren't masses of updates likes some other blogs.
This girl you're sculpting looks really well done, it makes me want to sculpt one of my own, I love naked chicks anyway and sculpting.
