Great work, your incubi look amazing.

I thought the hair on the host looked really good, but I would never argue with an artist that wants to evolve.I'd do more hair falling in front of her face, from the brow (if you get what I mean). When a person with long hair bends his/her head, the hair falls forward, and it usually covers the brow and face. Like the hair on the top of the head is longer than on the back of the head. (This gets really difficult, I don't usually talk about hair in English...)
The parasite creature looks suitably weird and terrifying.

something with the proletariat, cover it in sequins and make it sing. It's noisy, vulgar and utterly meaningless. I love it."

Loving all of it, especially the IncubiNow I don't even want to pick up my own brush :P
In my life, I have conquered more than most of my peers combined and my rewards have been great. But my sleep is troubled. Those who once were my closest brothers, what can I say to them? Those who could have destroyed the future I fought and bled to create? Their arrogance, their pride, their lack of faith, all that I had to fight through. Is it weakness or is it strength to remember it all?
And in the dark moments, before the nightmares come, the doubt - was it worth it?
The more I look at the colour scheme you've painted on your DE the more impressive it gets.
I've been wracking my brain for a suitable colour scheme for my own DE army and have come up empty, I hope you don't mind if I try this out on my own DE army?
Cheers!
[My Project Log. Latest update 13/04/2012] - [Putty's General Project Log] - [Raeho's Massive Space Marine Orgy]Funniest/coolest line I've read on Warseer! And a pretty good description of the plogs above.
Great work on paint and your moulding skills are definitively impressive. Cannot wait to see more.
There's definitely going to be more, its great to see people are still around enjoining this plog.
@ Serpent, I think I know exactly what you mean, and I do intent to sculpt that to, but I haven't come to that point yet, it will be the next step though.
@Easternheretic, Thanks for asking and of course go ahead, the basic recipe can be found on page one. Good luck with your dark eldar.
I've been rather buzzy with the holidays and some other distraction, still I anaged to do some work on DE.
The medusa host has a new haircut (and face(but you wont really see that in the picture)). Its not entirely finished, but 2 or 3 more steps and it should be done. Additionally I made a start on Lelith, its good to just paint a single man sized model so now and then because it wont take as long as full units or larger stuff.

Small update: I had some time left last night before the new years party so here's the final sculpt. (After I've painted it there will be more angles).

looking good!
Are you in Tokyo? If so, PM me. I'm looking for more gamers!
Project Logs:
Dark Eldar (ongoing) and Skaven (dead) and Digital Wastrel, my blog.
That's great! Hair looks very natural now.
Although I must say that the two rear tentacles or bladed things or whatnot on the Medusae creeps me out more and more every time I look at them. Right now they look almost like some weird manga rapefantasy alien thing. Wouldn't the Medusae induce the pain through the brain if the host should get rebellious?
Maybe I've just got old, but I really, really don't like the above mentioned niched cartoon style.![]()

When I've finished painting the model I'll add some extra info about this medusa species. For now I'll add I actually envisioned the blades at the back to be used to hang from trees or caves so they can drop down on unsuspecting targets like ticks. That being said I did put them in a rather suggestive pose, what people do with that is up to them.
From the start I wanted the model to be disturbing, without being to explicit/vulgar (of course those are rather subjective terms), and I'm aware that peoples comfort zones differ widely.
Still, few people would have something positive to say if they really didn't like a considerable part of the model.![]()
Oh, the rest of the model is just gorgeously done! The tentacles, the hair... Marvellous. And with your explanation for the hook things, my Giger-meter is now ticking a bit calmer.![]()

You have the best colour-scheme I've ever seen. Nice.

Update Time.
I'll think you'll figure it out with just pictures, there is a bit of fluff under the 3d pictures for those interested (warning I'm not a great writer):
Continues in my next post:

From the archives of the Holy Ordo Xenos:
Medusae Probisca (A. Frederock c.M21)
Overview: M.Probisca an ectoparasite or depending on its host a parasitoid preying on psychic individuals of virtually any species. The small yet unique niche this species occupies has lead to specific adaptations that facilitate its hunting on psychers.
Origin: A consensus on its origin has not yet been reached. Two known competing hypothesis are: It has either been genetically modified by the Necrontyr in their fight against the old-ones and their creations, or it has evolved naturally to fill in this vacant niche thus feeding on a resource unusable by most other species.
Habitat: Caves, Forests and allegedly the webway. Found among Eldar raiders.
Life cycle: M. Probisca matures in its progenitors host body. If this host is of a species and gender that bears living progeny (e.g. mammalian female) then it is able to grow to maturity without killing its host. If this is not the case the parasite growing will kill its host either as it consumes its hosts body internally or by the damage it causes when it hatches at maturity. In either case the young M. Probisca has to find a host of its own. To protect itself from predation M. Probisca will suspend itself from cave’s or ancient tree branches using its hind claws. There it will slowly shift itself to the border of reality and warp thereby becoming virtually undetectable and invulnerable but unable to affect either world. In this state it can survive indefinably as it waits for its prey.
The delicate psychorecoptors protruding from M. Probisca’s back allow it to identify psychers at great distance. Elder M. Probisca have been shown to detect the presence of psychers planet wide.
Once it detects a psycher it will try to draw its attention by using its connection to the warp to create psychic phenomenon that are detectable to psychers from great distances. Once a psycher comes close to investigate, M. Probisca will drop down on its unsuspecting victim. It ‘s tentacles are then employed to restrain both the targets spirit and body while its characteristic proboscis like tentacle bores its ways to its victims neural nexus (e.g. mammalian brain stem). If successful M.Probisca is able to override its hosts nervous system and will slowly drain its psychic energy. Once it has fed sufficiently M. Probisca will use its host body to find a planet with more psychers. Arriving there it will lay eggs in its host body to start the cycle anew.
Defensive behaviour: When infesting a host M. Probisca is vulnerable to attack, therefore as a last ditch resort its able to force its host to expend its psychic energy in an uncontrollable blast of destruction. It is hypothesis that elder M.Probisca are able to use its hosts psychic powers, though no captive specimens have ever portrait this trait.
Sanctioned by terra: No, destroy on sight.

If life's a bitch... Bitch back!
Smile... It get's worse tomorrow!
Seriously, if that model existed, I would need it immediately!
Over the years of sculpting I've never really done this...sculpting naked chicks, I think it's a good time to start : D. I have already kinda done it on my old wyches.
Hmmm this jsut made me realise I could start working no naked (new) wyches : )
What a great end result. The painting is nice and restrained and looks great. The sculpt is just mind blowing. I'll join in with the chorus saying if you were selling copies, I would buy one!
And finally the model painted! The final job is really great, a Golden Demon winer!
