    Re: New company Fireforge Games

I'm sure this is a silly question, But do the Teutonic and Templar Knights fight together?
What I mean is, are they from the same time period and would they ever be on the same battlefield and working together?
If I bought 1 of each plastic boxed set and a couple of the future Character models made by Fireforge, would I have enough stuff to make a legal/fun army for Deus Vult?
Would I need multiple boxes of some or all boxes to make something close to historical?

They are contemporary, mainly in the 13th century until the Templars were disbanded in the early 14th century. They would be fighting on the same battlefield.

One box of each is unlikely to be enough for any army though until Deus Vult is released it's difficult to know. There is a third box set, the Mounted Sergeants, and there'll be three infantry sets released this year.

Oh yes!! And IMHO it is our duty to buy those boxes. Make that, more than one box of each.

Gee honey they were for sale. I am doing my part to help a small business to STAY in business.
I am therefore I think OR I think therefore I am?

Not only that most of the heads in the Teutonic box can be modified easily to make a more normal bucket helm if you do not want to do Teutonics.. They are plastic afterall and easy to cut and clean up.

Can anyone identify the infantry the knights are going up against in the link above? Saw them briefly in the video on Beasts of war.

I'd like to chip in and say I'd like to see Saracens done before Northern Europe, because the time period covered is much greater, there are no existing Saracen plastics, and I think they'll be significantly more popular. Having a big commercial success with them means there'll be plenty of money to do Northern Europe after.

I have seen these miniatures in the flesh and wrote reviews of all the kits they released and all I can say they look stunning!

Just got the Norman Knights (CG), Fireforges Sergeants and Men At Arms (P) for some comparative plastic indulgement :-)

The Sergeants certainly hold their ground with the best. Infantry of the 13th century will be most welcome!

BTW: Thanks also to Renedra who enabled this...
