    Tercio Creativo & 1650?

So, these gorgeous minis have been making the rounds on the Internet (especially beasts of war), but I haven't really heard that much about this historical(?) skirmish game. Has anyone checked it out, played it, or have any minis?

You can get more information here:
    http://terciocreativo.blogspot.com/p...ine-store.html

At the moment its a bit of a weird one. Looks nice, but the prices are quite high. Some variety, but less then a dozen models. And with a range as small as this, I don't know how he has out of stock figures...

I think its suppose to be a skirmish game except I can't see any rules and I'm not entirely sure what other models you would buy to go with these.

The models look to be 40mm - if someone knows if they are that would be great - and resin from what i can tell, they look superb in my opinion and if thats any indication of what they can do so far its looking like they will have a good future. The models are painted my a multi Golden Daemon winner which will allow them to show the models of at thier best.

40mm? The largest, muscle-bound guy is around 40mm, but I'm pretty sure the regulars minis are 30-32mm. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

There are 10 pages of rules translated into English...guess I'll read through them and leave some comments here

I've printed them out. I'll post more tonight, but at a quick glance they look pretty good, stat-card based, with lots of variety in the damage capabilities of weapons (a MUST in small-scale skirmish games).

    Re: Tercio Creativo & 1650?

After reading through what I have, here's some info and impressions:

-the scale is a bit odd; 35mm. The rule set should work with any minis, but if you wanted to mix and match, 32mm might be ok.

-measurement is in cm. I have no problem with this, as you can either use cm, or do an easy conversion to inches a la Infinity.

-games are called conflicts, terrain set-up/scenarios are called Commissions.

-you can play during the day or night, with lamps at night having a big impact: neat!

-line of sight is abstract, with a front-arc kind of system. Meh. Will have to read more (TC, produce a whole book in English!)

-points are money you hire pawns and leaders with. Size of game is very much Mordheim/Infinity/Malifaux/Necromunda/all the others

-stat cards and a few 10 sided dice are required. The stats are heavily based around a individuals ability to surpass what's called a SL (success level). In practice it very much resembles a D10 version of Infinity, though I'll have to play some games to determine further (by the way, I'm loving everything about this game except the LOS...)

-the game comes across as a mash-up of Warmachine, Infinity, and Mordheim. This is all good company to be in, certainly, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the rulebook. Looks like alternate unit activation, though a little hard to tell with the wording of the Authority (initiative) roll, and the two steps described (authority, activation), though it does say the players take turns activating their pawns each turn, with the winner of the authority roll going first.

All in all, the minis are great, the game system looks decent, I just need a full English rulebook!!!

Thank you very much for the links and the work in progress greens! Those look great!

As for the pricing, I'd say that they are all very reasonable for the quality of models, and not too expensive at all! I plan on starting to collect everything available next month (especially excited by the range of terrain!).
