    Blood Drinkers

Welcome to my Blood Drinkers log. I started this log here on warseer about 2 years ago and I have now started to continue working on it as a break from painting High Elves.
I could have continued the old log, but just to keep things nice and clean I think it's better to just start a new log.
The Blood Drinkers are a succesor chapter of the blood angels who try to cure the red fury by drinking blood (which you see illustrated on my high priest Corbus). Due to drinking blood they have a lot more control over the fury and as they try to avoid this fury at all cost I thought it appropriate for them to field more tactical marines instead of assault marines (even thought it's far from optimal tactics wise). It's also an excuse for having bought a space marine army box though . Anyway this is a more shooty Blood Angels Army.

Painted Units (Can all be clicked for pictures):
    Entire Army
    HQ:
    Captain Draco
    Sanguinary High Priest Corbus
    Troops:
I "Puti", The Pure. 10 Tactical Marines.
II "Silentes", The Silent. 10 Tactical Marines
III "Feroces", The Brave. 10 Tactical Marines
VII "Cruenti", The Blood Stained. 5 Assault Marines
    Scouts:
I "Venati", The Hunters. 5 Scouts with Snipers
    Elites:
II "Metus", The Dreaded. 5 Terminators.
    Fast Attack:
I "Victor", The Conqueror. Baal Predator
"Saevi", The Ferocious. Attack Bike Squad
    Heavy Support:
I "Lucius" A.K.A. "Sitis Aeternus", Eternal Thirst. Dreadnought.
    II "Titus". Dreadnought.

    Example marine:

    Re: Blood Drinkers

I will start by showing a group of tactical marines which I finished recently (I started this group during my old log):

I have also repainted parts of my assault marines since the paint was a bit thick on them. They look less horrible now :

I have always wanted to try speed painting something so I will probably speed paint the rest (or at least parts) of my Blood Drinkers army. I really only want to get this army to decent tabletop standard which looks nice but doesn't take to much time to paint so I can focus on painting my high(er) standard High Elves army.
My first try at speedpainting resulted in this tactical squad which I painted in one day:

I did this using Army Painter "Pure Red" basecoat and Strong Tone Dip and I must say that it looks quite good for the amount of time it took to paint them.
For good measure I also took a picture of the entire army so far:

It's quite a few points all together and my largest army so far.
As soon as I fix the lamp I use for photographing miniatures I will probably reshoot some of the older units since my photography skills weren't exactly great (horrible :P) back then.

    C&C Appreciated and enjoy.

Looks good, I like the weathering. Is the sergeant of the Silentes tactical squad wielding two chain swords and a bolt pistol?

    Re: Blood Drinkers

I just finished painting another dreadnought and decided to call him Titus.

I painted him using the same speedpaint technique used on the third group of tactical marines. I'm not really pleased with the result, but I guess I should be content since it didn't take me a lot of time to paint this guy and he will look fine on tabletop. By the way: Perhaps I should make the pictures a little smaller?

He wields a chainsword and a converted chainsword with built in bolt pistol.
