The book is out sooner. 12 months is how long the sculptors think it will take them to do every monster in the book!

The elemental thing is great. Chatted to Mark Bedford about this.
He said rather than just do the four elements ... water, earth wind and fire they had decided to do elementals for all the winds of magic. So a return of the Life and Death elementals. His ideas for the Metal elemental were exciting.

    This thread makes me happy.
Big stuff AND the cancellation of "All Chaos Wins, All The Time: The 5 Years World Tour!" in ONE thread!

Well that cancellation of World Chaos Tour I see as a very sad idea, I was hoping for narrative campaigns with some depth. Alternative ForgeWorld world with some more mature content would be awesome.

At least I hope that we will see more varied thematic books for other armies like some Bretonnian Crusade, Ork Waagh Tour, HE vs DE and so. I mean more alternative units for current WH armies with reasonable rules.

Generic monster bestiary like Storm of Magic sounds like a meh to me.

I am very excited about this idea. FOr one thing, the models should be great (and easily usable in our D&D campaigns). For another, they should provide a lot of additional spice for our Mordheim games.

Oh, yeah - might use them for Warhammer, occasionally.

Truthfully, we've known about the Chaos-cancellation for 11 1/2 months now. Still kinda sad... This book is going to be more supplemental in nature, so don't worry, you'll get as much of your other campaigns as you can handle.

I still think four books of 'Chaos invaded, killed everything, lol' (yes I'm dumbing it down) would have got old fast. No offense to Mr Priestley but I'm relieved it isn't going ahead.

    Re: Monstrous Arcana

I was told a release date early next year January February for the book by the rules writer/ developer.

Sorry I have no pictures of the Saurian Dinosaur but it was similar to a carnosaur but with allot of gold coloured glyph armour around its body creeping up onto its head with a sleeker more pointed snout than the carnosaur and larger fore limbs.

Was there actually a model of that Harry?

I really liked all the skaven art there.

Yes. In Keith Robertson's Cabinet over to the right. (See above. )
He was telling me he plans on doing 5 interchangeable bodies and 5 heads so you can mix and match a big unit without the repetition.

Random vaguely on topic thing on the subject of wolves. Brian Nelson categorically ruled out him ever sculpting anything with fur again after doing the Boars. I was fishing to see if he was sculpting new wolves you see.

Seb expressed similar feelings towards fur following the OK monsters.

    Re: Monstrous Arcana

i was talking to the guy who was writing it and he was saying about the beast model they designed it the wrong way, they made it first then decided to put it in the book so have to make rules and artwork for the thing xD
things about the book i found out is that its apparently out around fec next year and the monsters can be used in non-storm of magic games,

oh and they also had two pages at the back of the book called dino 1 and dino 2 as they wanted to do some dinosaurs but didnt really know what yet and one idea floating around was a giant terradon

forgot to add, has anyone posted pic of the little toads they made so when you use the scrolls or bret spell etc you can replace the model

Too bad they had to start with boring predictable Nurgle. I was looking forward to seeing what FW could do with tzeentch and Slaanesh.
