Yeeees, sort of, I really want to add a Rhino, a Razorback for the future command squad and a Contemptor, but the thing is, I have to get my finances back under control... I'm moving soon, and I have a ridiculous bill from my phone company that's due 1st. of January, after my phone was stolen and abused for 6000 dkr., so I can't really make any major purchases at the moment, but we'll see...

One little thing to criticize! At least what the coxed says and give s a look, Flash gitz are as big as Ork Nobz. So I suggest that you would make them as big as nobz are. But otherwise, there is no right and wrong. I just like if they have two wounds, they need to look like they really have two wounds.

    That's all for now,

Cheers and keep the work on!

@TDA: Yeah, it's not looking too bad, but I sinned against my financial advisor and got myself a little something-something, crrently modelling some stuff...

@Dreffbuilder: It's true with the Nobz-thingy, I only figured that out after putting together the snazz-gunning gitz... Will rectify this somehow, with the next ones being larger. These two, maybe if I load them with equipment it won't be so bad...

    Non-fluffy update.

Having been swamped with Real Life and a serious case of Not Painting, I've finally got some hobbying done:

I originally made these 5-6 years ago, didn't paint them, then forgot all about them. I was helping my mom clean up her attic prior to moving, and stumbled on these, as well as a load of other stuff, some of which will eventually feature in this very log, once it's all been brought up to my current standard. The fences are mosquito-mesh on wire&matchsticks, painted to look dull and rusty. What say ye?

The echoes of gunfire, and the infernal Orkoid war-cries had finally died away, and Brother Artesio lowered his Heavy Bolter, relaxing his stance somewhat, as he took in the scene in the courtyard of the relay station. A few dozen xenos had been holed up in the disused buildings, but predictably they had left their shelter to take the fight to the Astartes, another sure sign of the superiority of the Emperors chosen compared to the brutish hordes. A far of cry sonded, the tell-tale waaagh of more Orkoids, alerted by the sounds of gunfire. Relishing the chance to purge more of the foul creatures, Artesio followed his brothers into the shadow of the relay-station, preparing to once again turn the courtyard into a killing zone.

Brother Rego Artesio, 2nd. Squad, 5th. Company, carrying the squads' main support weapon in the form of a Heavy bolter. Most brethren deployed with heavy equipment is equipped with enhanced targeting arrays and viewfinders, aiding in target selection, and ensuring the proper application of the formidable firepower of their heavy weapons.

Another pict-capture of the same subject, displaying the campaign badge on the right knee, as well as the tactical markings worn on the shoulderpad.

This shot shows the Heavy Bolters built-in targeter, as well as the Imperial Fist Chapter-badge, depicting the left fist of Rogal Dorn.

    The entirety of Squad Pheidias.

Finally! After struggling with the previous Heavy Bolter, I cracked and gave him the standard plastic verison. This concludes my first Squad of Imperial Fists. I am afraid I've been dragged back to my Skaven, but will I try to split my time between this project and the furry fiends...

these are some very characterful marines... i love the dynamic poses you are putting them in....and the black details you are going for.

i would like to give a small tip...perhaps water the paint a bit more down..so the layers become a bit more smooth

but besides that...nothing to say...awesome stuff

    Re: Reclamation of Sebranda Majoris

Thanks for the kind words Breazer, it's true that some of the paint is a tad on the thick side on some of these. I think it's whenever I'm tired or unfocused, as I do try to thin the paint down. Alas!

Nice banana marines, very gritty...good luck with your second tactical squad! What sort of units have you got in the pipeline? Some terminators might give you a nice break from tactical marines...

Actually, I was modelling a Scout Squad, But I've been bitten by a rabid Skaven, so the furry fiends are currently taking up my hobby-time. However, I shall return sooner rather than later...

Great plog, I love the individuality that has gone in each marine, and the gritty paintjob! Eager to see more, any more Orks coming soon?

    Re: Reclamation of Sebranda Majoris

Hey Guys, thanks for the interest.

I am actually just now getting back into the Fists and Orks, so expect some updates in the near future. I am currently painting 10 Scouts, repainting and ditto modelling some more Kommandoes, and am looking at what I can salvage from my false start on Orks from 6+ years ago. Stay tuned!

Above pict-capture displays Scout Squad Roth, here seen during the opening stages of the Imperial push to expand their foothold beyond Dareth's Landing and into the countryside south of Alhimon Cross, a major crossroads a few hundred kilometers outside of the capital. Astartes Scouts were instrumental in determining which Orkoid warbands posed the greatest threat, as the Waaagh! was at this stage involved in inter-mob strife.

Sergeant Anwar Roth. A decorated veteran, Roth was assigned to the 10th. Company in 993M41, following grievous injuries sustained while fighting the Xenos Tau. As with most members of the 10th., Roth's armour only carries the Chapter Emblem, dispensing with tactical and campaign markings, as Scout Armour is usually worn out beyond repair during deployment.

Neophyte Sevastil Inneas. Originally hailing from Holy Terra, Inneas is only a few years into the implant-process required to become a full Battle-Brother. Prone to contemplative silence, the young Sevastil seems suitably awed at the prospect of becoming one of His Avenging Angels, and both the Chaplain and his instructors seem convinced that he will give up his childish deification of the Lord of Terra, and embrace Him as the Creator of the Gene-Father, rather than a myth to give supplication, given time and proper encouragement to accept the Imperial Truth.

Neophyte Arnell Toran. Unlike many Astartes-recuits, young Toran was born into relative peace and comfort on Rhanda, an affluent mining-colony. However, Following the Plague of Unbelief, where the world had been swept up in Cardinal Bucharis' mad schemes, a contingent of Imperial Fists, intent on stamping out the last embers of rebellion not yet smothered by Sebastian Thor, erected a Chapter Keep on the Planet's surface, as a permanent reminder of the Imperium's reach. In the millenia since, a series of games have been held, every time an Imperial Fist delegation has arrived to ensure the upkeep of the fortess, and Toran was one of the few possessing the skills to best the rigours of the games, and thereby enter into the Adeptus Astartes.

Neophyte Davus Trenga. Drawn from the Underhive of Necromunda, Trenga is a testament to the heights attainable, even by the lowest of the Emperor's subjects. Enrolled in a House Goliath gang-militia at an early age, the continuos struggle for supremacy in the dark, dank reaches of the Underhive, rapidly brought the young Davus on a collision-course with the Enforcers. After being rounded up following a particularly vicious series of attacks on Guilders and other Hive-officials, Trenga was saved from summary execution when an Imperial Fist recruitment party was treated to an anecdote of his arrest, during which he killed one Enforcer and seriously injured two more in a running battle through the sewers. Although he seems remarkably resistant to Hypno-therapy, his prowess in combat, ability to adapt to changing situations, as well as his intractable nature has so far kept him from relegation to the Chapter Serfs.

Neophyte Malk Kojin. Another Necromunda native, Kojin, like Toran, is nearing the end of his tenure with the 10th., and as such his loyalty to the Chapter and ability to leave any negative habits accrued during his upbringing behind him is unquestionable, which means that Young Malk is likely to undergo the implantation of the Black Carapace, upon the succesful conclusion of the Sebranda Campaign.

Actually had these done on tuesday, but I was out all of yesterday and today. But now I should be getting back on track!
