Fallout - Post apocalypse display piece

It was quite a while since I posted here (or anywhere). I have basically been busy with the other parts of life (training, working, being unemployed, building gaming board etc.). However as I have started a new project I thought it might interest you guys. Here is the WIP pics, it is quite early on still.

Some fun Fallout New Vegas details
*the '95' on the broken pipe is a representing 'highway 95' which is one of roads in the game
*there will be some Xander roots on the ground
*the broken shelf is inspired by the very characteristic shelves in Fallout 3/ Fallout New Vegas.
    *The obvious Nuka Cola signboard
*The small scribble ****** NCR on the signboard
*There is a fragmine in the scrapheap

Hope you like it, and C&C welcome

    That is goddamn brilliant Animerik!

I'd really love to have such scenery for my Fallout Plog but I'm too lazy really!

You've reminded me that I need to paint some grafitti on my signs too

Will you be doing any more scenery or maybe some models?

    A quick update.

Just decided on the mini for this piece and it will be....

    http://studiomcvey.highwire.com/prod...an-morgan-vade

A nice mini and I think with some conversion (rework the backpack, add a pip boy 3000, loose some pouches etc) it will look really good.

I also decided to add some more details.
    -some used up Jet
-a plant, might be a Nevada agave or a coyote tobacco chew... not sure yet.
-a rad away pack in the shelf
    - a discarded newspaper (future weapons today or true police stories)
    -a used psycho chem.

    And then the usual things
    -grass
    -pigments etc etc.

    Cheers

Nice to see you posting here again! That diorama looks brilliant so far, but a few close up shots would be cool.
That mini is a fitting choice for the post-apoc setting. Looking forward to seeing this finished...

They did. Came free with the special edition version of the Tactics game. Card cutouts for models but it was still fun. I'll need to check my PC when I get home to see if I still have it.

Animerik: Great job on the scenery piece, it looks aces.

Thumbs up Re: Fallout - Post apocalypse display piece

Lovely attention to detail on this piece, and anything Fallout 3-themed gets thumbs up from me. The McVey model is nicely sculpted. Just wondered if you had seen these figures by a Russian sculptor:

    Not-Brotherhood of Steel

    Not-Brotherhood scientist

    Not-wastelander

reminds me of the broken steel DLC when you're moving through those ruins towards the tesla coil, and have to weather a whole fricking hive of deathclaws and on top of that a squad of enclave troopers.
