As the thread title says, we're only in month 1, so there is still plenty of time.

I think you have that backwards, Morkash. Armies like Ogres you can paint one at a time but something like O&G painted individually would be torture .

Just for you malorian i had to horde the trolls. Da Shammy sez dey big fighti dat wayzz

of course this means it is absolutely going to be a while for this unit considering my slow As..... behind takes about 8 hours a troll and the river ones look much more complex.

@Doi: Depends on the O&G models, I have painted 30 Black Orcs one by one, which was ok; but then again I also have quite a few painted Night Goblins ... there are tears in my eyes on the mere thought...

Front Rank guys - other than the command group they're all converted


2nd/3rd rank multibased guys - town guard / pirates / chaos - unfortunately I couldn't get a good angle on the Chaos Warrior


Misc minor conversions from around the unit - orc / duellist / beastman / marauder


Back rank zombies! (and their skeleton buddy)


As a teaser, I took an army shot of everything, including my stuff from the first TOFP and the odds and ends I've painted since. Keen eyed people following my army progress may spot this month's stuff in amongst them.

Have to say, everyones stuff is looking good so far. It was a close call for me, but I've got this months allocation done - I'll hold off on the pics etc until the right time but I'm mightily pleased with how the Emissary has turned out.

Those cursed company conversions are excellent! I've completed my hundred points for october and started work for november. Pics in a couple of days ^^

Ok, I'll add some comments before month 2 starts.

@Padz : Nice men at arms you've got there. I like your bases too, and the small details everywhere (dogs, skulls, and bones...)

@ Toshiro : woah, 417 points in a month, I'm far from you with my 105 points. But I didn't paint characters, I keep them for when I'm not motivated to paint rank and file models.
Nice paintjob overall, and good horde effect on those NGs.

@ Juicytomatoes : haha, these ninja halflings are so cute ^^

@ great horned owl : nice repeater bolt thrower, very well executed. and I like the oop feel of the models

@ purplebeard : great dwarf, nice detailing

@ Lord Dan : great stuff, everything is perfect, from the conversion and painting to the basing. Keep it up !

@ colonel kane trine : have you painted your whole army ?? Anyway, great paintjob, I like it very much

@ andrewdrexler : nice wood elves, the bases are great. Pictures are a bit dark though, it's not easy to see the details clearly, but they look nice

@ fanny crowbar : I like the subtle conversions here and there on your DE. And the paintjob is great also, I like the pale skin

@ gogs78 : your phoenix guards unit is impressive, nice paintjob and colors

@ rootsmanuva : your ghouls are creepy !! Excellent paintjob and conversions, but for me they look more like zombies than ghouls

@ kaos : fantastic paintjob on those dwarf slayers. Thumbs up!

@ dwarfhold 13 : I'm impressed with the skin painting on your savage orcs. Reminds me of my own color scheme, I might copy your style when I'm starting my savage orcs

@azhagmorglum Thanks for the comment, I totally agree that they look alot like zombies. I guess if I ever have a battle I'd put the more ghoulish ones to the front. (The points total drops if I label them as zombies )

I painted about half my army but im slowing it down from now on as im concentrating on my ogres and wont be painting as much

The last Octogre update from me, the Sky Titan Cannon of the Ironblaster. It was a true beauty to paint and hopefully the Ironblaster gets finished for November.





I'm really curious what everybody has in store for November!
