You make the classic mistake of assuming it was intended to look like normal wood. Why would one not paint artillery if everything else in an Empire army is full of colour? It is possible to apply paint to a real-life gun carriage, and it is nothing uncommon. because of this - the whole model is just one big block of awesomeness with awesome sauce on it!
A Nurgling is born and he shall henceforth known as Frank the Nurgling!
@Karak Norn Clansman - Thanks pal, there is however extensive wood grain all over it already. Also going with green greys would dull the carriage down and it would fade into the grass too much loosing the impact
@Demoulius - They obviously use MircaleGrow lawn fertilizer
@grhino - thanks pal
That is one gross giant. Keep up the good work!

What can I say but HOW THE HELL DID I MISS THIS THREAD!!!!? seriously though just spent a very happy half hour gawping at these gorgeous models.
what an amazing body of work, I can offer you no higher compliment than to say you have a real eye for the putrid in the most wonderful, wonderful way. I love the deatails you add that give just the right amount of sinister and ewww factor, and you're little hints of Nurgles fantastically dark Joie de vivre bring these models to life.. the hairs on the back of the Great unclean one or the maggot crawling out of the wounds in the giant... amazing stuff!!! I think 'Old Daddy Mack' has to take the crown as my favourite model in the army though
cannot wait to see more
Thanks for taking the time to read through it pal and thanks for the kind words, you will be happy I have done another Big Daddy Mac for the giant
Right i have done another 3 and reworked the cannonball one a little
From Left to Right, Big Daddy Mac the II, Jibba Jabba, Pistol Pete "Scourge of Health and Safety", and Billy Big Ball
Those wee guys are awesome. Plenty character in them all. Hard to choose a favourite from Big Daddy Mac and Pistol Pete though. Both are great. I hope Big Daddy's hat is suitably pimp when you paint it.
I love them, they're so characterful and repulsively funnyYours is my favourite nugle army so far
there's too much great stuff to post a detailed comment, but I followed your plog for a while, and I realized that you know perfectly how to make an nugle army work. Some details are so realistic that result in being absolutely gross, and your smooth paintwork amazes me everytime ^^
Can i ask what sort of airbrush you use ,brand etc and do you have any tips on using an airbrush for a newb
Love the little nurglings![]()
Those are maybe the cutest nurglings I've ever seen. Great sculpting with lots of character. Love them !

Thanks for the kind words guys
I have had to drop a couple as there will be no room on the base, I have gone with the following 5, still need to finish all the horns, and Big Daddy Mac's hat and Pistol Pete's gun

Out of curiosity (maybe asking abit late..) but what did you sculpt these guys with? Green stuff? (or should I say grey stuff?) or isent it putty at all?![]()
What a brilliant addition, scratchbuilt nurglings! Makes this great model even more briliant! I wonder, how many points is your Nurgle army right now? And could you please make a groupshot in the near future?

Excellent work...and Yes!... The army shot would be greate![]()
Those nurglins really finish the giantLove them!
When you said you had "made a start to the base" earlier, I laughed to myself because it looked great. I didn't think you could improve it much more. I'm glad for once to be SO WRONG! Brilliant ideas and execution, the one checking out the pistol, and it's positioning is fantastic.

@Morglum Necksnapper & @Grain Weevil - Thanks guys, this giant is purely for Golden Demon very much doubt it will ever make it's way onto a tabletop also it is based totally different to the rest of the army. the army is about 2000 points but i am very much focusing on display type work and trying to up my painting ability for the foreseeable future.
@Demoulius - finished? nowhere near I am afraid pal, I will be working on it all week and all weekend then it MIGHT be finished![]()
@Evil Hypnotist - Still a couple more tweaks required pal before I am perfectly happy with it.
