Awesome idea, and I love what you've done so far!
But I think the steamtank needs more craziness to it
    Looking forward for more!

    Cheers!

    not really no
i have built so many armies during the years, all using the standard models with minor conversions only, it is just not satisfying enough any more

Great, really creative ideas! I love your cobble stone bases too. Nicely done all around.

I'm glad you scrapped the burnas, they looked way too advanced tech for a bunch of gnoblars. Maybe you could tie the fluff to the chaos dwarfs to explain the tech.

The only thing I'd change is you might want to consider mounting these machines on 50mm bases. It shouldn't change their game-play much, and would make the ranking look way less cluttered.

In any case I admire your creativity and unique take on a gnoblar revolution.

Well, the 50 mm base idea could work in friendly games, but in tournaments, i don't think all players would approve!

    Re: Korrelito's "Ogre" Kingdoms

Well folks, time for an update:

Sooo, here's my SM/tyrant.....i have to figure out how to put it on a base, so it can fit inside a unit...

And the thunder tusk base is starting to look all right!

only question now is what to build the thunder tusk from....
my first idea was to use the deffdread, but it was to small imo, so it is going to be my general, if i can mount it on its base!

    so what model to use....?
    mega dread?
    defiler??

    Stompa!

how about a body made out of several kans? (2-3 kans attached to eachother in a long cilindrical shape as the 'torso', half a dozen gnoblars swarming all over it, multiple legparts attached to eachother to form it's limbs and so forth) I had actually expected the steamtank as the thundertusk

Maybe you could use a couple more gnoblars added here and there in the army to make the ogre kingdoms connection more clear than to killa kans

Holy great maw! Or, little maw! With steel teeth and cogs!

This must be the most far out project i have seen and it will be truly interesting to see them painted.

    A gnoblar-built centipede....that sounds like fun!

The carry-along-gnoblars are on their way!
I want them to crawl around all over

    Re: Korrelito's "Ogre" Kingdoms

    so i have been thinking.......

....on how to best build my thunder tusk....!

I think this baby would fit the theme nicely
    http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamme...READ-BODY.html

i found something different entirely over at the war hammer forge-part however:
    http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamme...LAND-SHIP.html

i kind of love the ship, but feel kind of bad since i have to "trash" it to look more gnoblarish...

    comments?

This is one of the most awesome project ideas I've seen. Great job, Korv!

On the Thundertusk thing...funnily the Mekadread (and Megadread) were the first thing which came to my mind as well. They would fit the overall theme quite well!
The ship looks ace indeed, not sure how it would look besides the ramshackle horde...

    what about this?

    http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamme...MEGA-TANK.html

I love the army so far, but more steampunk elements would raise it up a level, as well as meshing them into fantasy far better.
