Man 4 ironblasters-? ETC won't let that happen next year.

Nice winning spree so far- hopefully your oppenents will learn from the videos and be ready for a hard rematch

TsukeFox, what kind of closeups would you recommend? Zoom in on the combats, more intro pics, deployment closeups?

Nor should they... it's just filthy. I'll be packing two of those boys away after the tournament. After declaring the 3rd and 4th cannon shot per round, I always felt dirty. Then again, that didn't stop the brets from taking 4 trebs and making it rain rocks.

That is exactly what I am hoping; it is tricky for an opponent to know what to expect with the ogres. I can tell you the high elf player for sure wouldn't have brought out the dragon if he had known ogres had cannons.

Close ups of battle- your intro shows your models but we never get to see your opponents models up close.

Melee pics would help in showing both armies.

I try to such picture shoots in Djekars Reports

Man what was that tomb king player thinking when he left the hierophant all alone with no buffers or support-? Sad showing

You would think that he would deploy more safely given that he knew I had so many extra drops.

I"ll see about more "action" shots

Love the reports man. They make painting much less of a chore when I have them on. Thanks and keep up the good work sir!

I liked the reports a lot until I got to the pre-tourney game and all the proxies.

Although there were a lot of unpainted minis before that, many were painted and a continuous progress could be seen, so I was ok with that. And the gameplay was interesting, I felt that victories depended on deploy, manouvre and decisions, which I liked a lot. But than the huge amount of proxied stuff was quite off putting.

Demanding to actually have minis (preferentially painted..) for the units in the lists would go a long way to curb the "filthy" lists and keep things more in the spirit of the game, as people would have a hard time keeping their collections always on the "optimized" range of models.

I appreciate the work on the BRs and would like to keep watching them, but would rather have smaller games with fully painted armies than ever bigger games (why is 3k becoming so popular now?) of primers or even proxies.

    Cheers

Well, good news then Tupinamba; The 2400 pt season will be starting soon, which should make the armies more painted and balanced but still leave some of the new toys.

I think that the problem was not so much the points leading to the filth, but more the grand armies rule at 3000 points. I have been thinking in general that when doing higher points, to keep the same unit limits.

Re: Ogre Battle Reports on youtube

Look forward to the next season then!

And I agree with the grand battle issue. In general, I actually agree with Matt Ward´s interview and the suggestion to keep games at 2000 points. People cry that than it´s not possible to have all the options, but imo that´s exactly the point. Smaller games would change the General + lv. 4 + BSB standart of ALL games with ALL lists. This problem is of course accentuated at 3000.

Still, the proxy question would also be a way of dealing with it, and I particularly dislike proxies (I´m not saying anything against alternative mini, stuff that is in theme etc.), as it ruins the visual aspect of the games, and this is a miniatures game, after all.

Anyway, kudos for providing us with interesting videos and battles.

    Cheers

9 - Ogres vs Warriors of Chaos- 1k
I liked the 1k, and he had a nice looking army.

Seems like chaos should have used there warhounds to set up counter charges instead of trying to get into combat even if it means taking a charge-an awful super charge

    Second that.

By the way, your miniatures are getting better every report. The stone horn and the firebelly are very beautiful. Kudos

    Agreed.

Also, as posted above, I love having batreps playing in the background while I finish painting my Tomb Kings.

I really really thought the WoC player was going to wreck you. But then he removed the Warshrine... lol Excellent report. I know it was probably a let down not getting your big guys in, but him being so afraid of them I think did enough.

I am just so glad our WoC doesn't use Gateway or Puppet.
