Hi everyone,

Having been getting on with some Daemons (link in sig) and more than enough real life issues it's been a while since I've done marines of any sort and logged them on here. So I thought it was about time I got on with some and let you all see the progress I make.

I've recently been on a bit of a hobby low, not really sure why to be honest but there are a few things that are starting to get me a bit more interested again, I've currently got my eye on doing a pre-heresy style army using all the nice FW bits so it was quite nice to be asked to do some stuff on commission, so that's what I'm going to be getting on with over the future months, it's not all FW based stuff but hopefully you'll enjoy seeing the stuff that gets done.

Here's a list of what's coming short term

Mentor Legion Stormraven (using the CHS kit)

Mentor Legion Ironclad Dreadnought
Mentor Legion Contemptor
Mentor Legion Land Raider Redeemer

Ultramarines Ironclad Dreadnought
Ultramarines land Speeder
2 ultramarines FW Drop Pods

I think that's about all that's on the commission list for now, might have missed something, I'm sure it'll appear soon enough.

Once this lots done I'll be cracking on with the Daemons and some Marines for myself, not sure what chapter yet but they'll probably be techmarine led using the FW guy with conversion beamer and probably the Librarian as well, open to suggestions but preferably not something black.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me, what's any good log without a couple of pics to start off.

With regard to when you do your own pre-heresy force, do you want to do one of the loyalist legions? who remain much the same goinging into the 41st millenia, or one of the legions who turn and have differing colours to thier 'modern' imagry?

Also, was there a particular period of the heresy you were thinking of?

Current thinking is more Ultramarines, I just love them, if you haven't seen the style I paint ultras swing over to the hall of fame section and have a look at some of the other logs I've done. A nice dark blue, with hopefully a bit more freehand (DPA inspired).

Awesome as ever. I've a great deal of respect for people who choose black or white to paint as I find it very difficult to get it looking "natural". The fact you've achieved both so well is testament to your skill.

Excellent stuff! Your Marine stuff is always inspirational. I really like the black highlighting versus the really crisp white on the Ravenguard.
