Thanks for all the feedback and support so far everyone, it's really helping me to keep going. There will be a couple of Tactical marines by lunchtime (it's 0842 here in the UK)

I'm really looking forward to getting on with the wolves, at the minute I'm unsure as to what Great Symbol to use this time round, very tempted to go with Logans Symbol (Wolf Howling at the Moon) again?

Excellent Raven Guard, though I feel I must criticise Forgeworld for not making their Mk.II Assault Marine legs more dynamically posed like 'Workshop ones. Consequently, the look a bit static in comparison to your other figs.

I have actually done it before though, but do like it.

For the terminator pads I freehanded the symbols :-D, FW do a great set of FW transfers that have some just the right size for Terminators now.



And as promised, here's the first couple of tactical marines

The Tacticals are looking rather nice, the plasma colour is really a rather nice choice to reflect the black and dulled purple already in the army.

If it's one thing I like about your work, it's the overall colour complimenting that goes on throughout an army.

The inversion of the shoulder pad scheme and helmet piece combined with the 'iron' armour...WOW. That has to be one of the stand out Tactical Sergent models I have seen painted ever.

Excellent job as per usual James, given the detail on these guys I can't wait to see what you do with a model like the Stormraven.

Also nicely done with the quick turn around of the remaining squad members. Did you batch paint them as a unit or 3-4 at a time?

Thanks mate, I think the purple works very well with the black and white.

I've pretty much finished the Raven Guard Stormraven, it's just got to get a spray of matt varnish and the pilots canopy will then be gloss varnished, it's also got a base to be done as well.





I'll be getting on with the final 5 tactical marines next.
