Well here is the background -
Im taking part in a 24 hour iron painter competition next month.
Details here: http://www.arkhamgamingcentre.com/in...688&Itemid=489
I plan to paint a 1750 point necron army in one sitting...... I will be painting a number of units before and after the event in order to eventually reach 3000 points.
I want a paint scheme that is quick to do and looks at least good TT standard and isnt silver with a wash!
So I had these two guys lying around took tops 20 minutes to paint (excluding drying times)
painted with a combination of paints, washes and pigments. Im going to do light sourcing on the gun the eyes and the chest crest on the finish models -
the tubing will be a solid colour rather than as it appears in the test models
these are test models and the actual finished guys will be a little more refined - the verdi gris is hardly showing through on them and will be corrected on the next batch of test models ill do this weekend
bases will be a shade of grey with citadel dead grass and armypainter highland tufts.
this guy i gave a more metallic sheen to the finish
thoughts and opinions welcome
