Hi Guys; I'm about to paint some necrons and so I've made a 40klog; I'll be painting the for sale on ebay nad posting up my WiP photos here.

Quick question; which options from the barge/ark kits will sell better on eBay? I'd really appreciate thoughts as my 40k knowledge is fairly limited!

I'll be starting building them later today, probably going for the classic theme.

    Cheers,

    Byron

It's coming; but the edge-highlighting is killing me; let me know if you think it's worth it/any thoughts at all:

I agree, very nicely done. Having a Dark Eldar army myself, I know the horror of edge highlighting all too well. But you've done a great job!

The edge highlighting may be killing you, but it is very nicely done and from a neutral viewpoint, much worth doing continuing.

    That's some great highlighting.

Almost makes me wish I was painting mine green.

Mate, that's stunning. It's a great mini, but that paintjob just pops. I love it.

Cheers bud, sentiments like this are saving my soul; it's nearly finished but the barge is HUUUUGE; I'm genuinely dreading it!

Tah mate, I really feel your pain; I've done a couple of raiders and they were brutal, but it's the troops that killed me, not only are there approximately 16887876383742 edges on the armour to highlight, but each troop's got about 50 grenades, bone bits and a countless other details to go, massive respect to the patience involved in painting up a full DE army!

Much appreciated, I'm nearly done with the barge now, YAY!

Thanks, really glad you're enjoying looking at it.. I'm beginning to go the other way now; lord break is coming up though, at least I'll get to use tin bits and upgrade to 5 different colours used so far!

What scheme are you going for bud? My local gaing store only had one of each (which in retrospect is a blessing, or I'd be doing 4 vehicles!) and I was going to try out a creme/bone ceramic theme on at least one; I think there's some definite mileage in the alternate schemes.

Glad you like it bud; I'm kind of dreading taking the auction pictures for it because I can see it being terrible for trying to get accurate photos of, we'll see!

    Thanks for looking!

Cheers, It was a mix; about 1black : 2/3 Green (ish) but it went lightly over a light grey (halfords grey primer) basecoat, so it's much brighter than it would be otherwise.

Any more questions feel free to ask.

By the way I've been following your rusty necrons; they're looking great!

3 last touches to do and then it's done!

Really impressive barge! It makes me want to start a Necron army myself. I... must... resist... Too... much... minis... to paint...

Haha, cheers If you did a force on foot I think they could be incredibly fast to paint; the moment the vehicles get involved things would change though ^_^

Picture of the lord; the necrons are going to receive some love tomorrow and then I'm back to commission commitments (over in the fantasy plogs)

    Thanks for looking all!
